    Super Angry [8o|] Why Corrie

Why was Corrie taken off on Wednesday !st April and replaced with a James Bond film also when Corrie is on for an hour on Monday,s and Friday,s it is split up into two half hours and another half hour programme put in the middle WHY when Emerdale is put on for an hour it is the FULL hour can someone please tell me why we cant have CORRIE on for the full hour.I can see why Corrie falls behind when the awards are being given out it is messed about with to much also that other rubbish Eastenders BBC know they will have always have a winner because they vewry rarely touch it and looking some times its on everynight,SO COME ITV STOP MESSING ABOUT WITH CORRIE DONT KEEP TAKING IT OFF FOR FILMS OR FOOTBALL AND PLEASE PUT IT ON FOR THE FULL HOUR MONDAYS AND FRIDAYS

    Re: Why Corrie

Wow, I feel slightly breathless after reading your post - punctuation costs nowt, you know!  Anyway, I have no idea as to why Coronation Street should be messed about with.  The general feeling at the moment - if you read through the many posts on this forum - is that Corrie is suffering a quality crisis, with the writers having lost their way somewhat.

It almost feels as though the producers don't know what to do with this gem they have sitting in their schedule and so throw a bizarre array of non-starter storylines at it in an attempt to outdo 'Enders.  The programme needs a blummin' good overhaul - fewer episodes per week, a cast 'cull' and new blood in the writing team.  Corrie has a USP which sets it apart from all the other soaps on the box - namely that it can do comedy like no others and has an iron-clad backbone based on good old-fashioned Northern sense.

    Don't blow it, programme-makers.

Hmm,  I take it you are from Scotland and have STV? If so then that movie was shown because an International match was being show on ITV in England from 7pm, which would cancel out Coronation Street's slot.

    Re: Why Corrie

I was expecting an extra episode last Sunday because Wednesday's was cancelled due to football.  I hope this doesn't mean there's going to be one less episode next week!

That'll be the day when women's sport knocks Top Gear from the schedules! Smile

Thankyou for saying that herne! I didn't know there was going to be one on Sunday, as I expected it to be on last Sunday. LOL. I would have missed it, eek! Thanks!

This is a copy of an email sent directly to ITV.

    re: Grimebusters

You changed Coronation Street for this?

Sitting down for a meal I was almost physically sick at the blatant sight of ***,rats, mice and their
droppings,a close up of a disgusting lavatory, pulled teeth and flowing urine.

Who on Earth thought this was good viewing for 7.30 in the evening? a tacky little schoolboy?

An utterly repulsive program which I hope your viewers and advertisers will shun in their droves!

You should be hanging your smutty little heads in shame showing this more than disgusting programme
    at dinner time.

    Re: Why Corrie

I think it's been moved to make way for football, when the season starts again. ITV have obviously splashed out to cover some competition or other and as usual, showing complete diregard for the majority of viewers. I like football, but I object to everything being moved round to accomodate it. Knowing ITV's lack of imagination,it'll be Manchester United everyweek anyway.
