i dont blame marlon for the way he is acting she critacised his food on day one then asked for a job in the bar then near eno took over the kitchen in a day when he was ill, changed the menu , she critacises him like tonight she nos how proud he is of his food so even if she didnt think the lamb was great she cud have lied. and who turns up for work knowing the chef is peeved with them and say ive had  a bad stomach must b something i ate after eating his food? marlons been there years and is a trained chef shes been there 5 mins and is a barmaid who happens to be able to cook a  meat and potato pie.

I thought last night that Diane really ought to be siding with Marlon, for the reasons you state, he has been there years and Moira came in 5 minutes ago and immediately started the bad atmos. I like the character of Moira but she has been at fault for definite in all of this bickering. I do hope they sort it out soon as it is becoming tedious, just like the constant digging and bickering between Brenda and Viv, that sort of thing can be amusing for a couple of episodes but wears thin very quickly for me.

I agree.  I like Moira but it's almost as if she is trying to rile Marlon.  She's not a stupid person  -  it would be very easy for her to maintain harmony, so you start wondering what could be behind the implied belittlement of Marlon. Perhaps I'm imagining ulterior currents and it's just that she has a tactless nature.  Although she seems to be fine with everyone else.

    Re: The Woolpack

I do think Marlon is being over sensitive with Moira not always liking his food,  everybody's palette is different so you are not going to please everyone everytime.  What may be just right for one person in terms of seasoning whatever may not be to the next persons liking.

Yes I see it that way too, she isn't trying to wind him up he is just being too ridiculous about his "territory".

    Re: The Woolpack

I think that Marlon is being his usual over reacting self, however, as I mentioned earlier, I think that Moira should wind her neck in a bit, she is new and should have more respect for Marlon. She could easily put a stop to this now by apologising and behaving better in the future.  In the real world she'd have been on a trial and would have been 'let go' by Diane by now for just not fitting in and causing such chaos, however good a barmaid she is.

The Marlon /Moira 5 year old behaviour is boring me to tears.  Diane should sack the pair of them.

    Re: The Woolpack

Diane likes Moira so I can't see her sacking her, also Andy works on the farm and she would protect his job too. Marlon seems the most disposable to her, he isn't a close friend really and Moira can cook !
