I saw that Benidorm Series 3 was billed tonight  and then I read the dreaded words - except in Scotland? So what do we get instead on STV, another tired old Taggart repeat. I've nothing against Taggart per se. but are STV turning into a bunch of Wee Scotlanders now?  Just recently I've seen program after new program with those dread words attached. On STV we are getting sub-standard stuff instead? What gives with their programmers I wonder?

 

HI.I have already started a forum discussion about this a few months ago.It is entitled stv cancellations,but only 7 people have replied to it.

I e mailed stv again today to register my utter contempt and disgust over the sub standard programmes we are getting in Scotland.

I told them that it's no wonder their revenues have seriously dipped,and i hoped that they will dip further until they are taken over by a company that will give us what WE want to watch NOT what they and the SNP do.

We are not interested in watching tartan tv trash.If i want to see hills then i can walk outside my door and see them.

The best they can offer us is repeats,sub standard documentaries and films that are ancient and have been shown god knows how may times.

Many people feel as we do,and yes they are a bunch of wee Scotlanders courtesy of the big cheese at STV and that head of the Scottish Numpty  party.

It is unfair that we are being treated like this,but what can we do about it.

I can't get sky or freesat where i live,so what else can i do.

I have boycotted STV for everything except the soaps now.

John Smeaton called them a bunch of bone heads and boy was he right about that.

they will probably send the usual useless reply to my e mail telling me they are taking charge of their own programme schedules.

The X Factor was kept (utter rubbish) and I'm a Celebrity (more rubbish) but Benidorm,Doc Martin and others have been ditched.

We won't get the new series of taggart as SMG are not giving it to STV (hurrah) so we get the same repeats seen a million times over.

We pay our licence fee,and i am sick of this.I can watch Benidorm on the itv player,and i loved it,but it is not the same as a full tv screen.

I HATE STV for what they are doing to us,and there are many more who agree with us.

Hello Jennifer,just read your post and agree with every word.Was really looking forward to Benidorm series 3.Also read somewhere that STV owe ITV loads of money?   Perhaps (with luck) they'll go bust soon....do you know anything re this?

Hi Tick Tock. Yes i did read something about this as well, and that ITV  were taking action against STV.

They can waste seven thousand pounds a week on a pointless quiz that my five year old niece could answer though.

I hope too that they go bust,or god knows what rubbish we will get over the Christmas and New Year period.

They don't listen and send a reply  by e mail about taking charge of their own schedules,blah blah blah.

I cannot get Sky or Freesat in my area,or i would get ITV London instead of the Tartan Trash we are getting.

I blame the Scottish Executive for this,as well as the head of STV programming.
