    Tune played on Coronation Street

    Can anyone help me, please?

I heard a repetitive pop tune on  the first programme on Friday 2nd October, and can't get it out of my head!

It was played in the Rovers Return, and was about five minutes or so into the second half.  A female singer or girl band were singing the track, but I haven't been able to find out what it's called or who it's by.

I think some of the lyrics are "I don't want to, I don't need to" and possibly "going out out out" or "going up up up".  I've listened to it on ITV's I-Player several times, and tried to use Shazam to find out the name, but both to no avail.

I would be grateful if readers of this post could watch the area of the programme in question on ITV's I-Player, to see if any of you can help me out.

    Thanks,

I heard the line "I'm ready for the weekend" but can't get anything else so far.

Sound on my laptop is not great, but I think it's "Keep Your Head Up" by Girls Can't Catch. :)

    Thanks very much, Yidaho.

I've done a bit of research on the net, and found out that it's definitely the song that you've named.  I typed the group name and title onto a search engine, then requested lyrics for the song.  The few lyrics that I could make out when I listened to it on I-Player matched some of the lyrics mentioned on the website I found. You're spot on.  Thanks again.
