    Ryan, grow up

At 26 years old, he should get off his high horse. Katie didn't exactly tell him the real reason she got pregnant for a married couple did she? Ryan is still living at home, incapable of doing his washing and can't make a sandwich without spilling it. No wonder his mummy babies him.

I didn't think he was on any high horse, he told Katie that the past was the past.

Agreed about his uselessness, but that's not untypical of a lad that age who still lives at home, I know 3 brothers aged approx 34, 32 & 30 who are equally as bad! They will allow themselves to be mothered as long as the daft mother is prepared to do so!

Did think he was on a "high horse" either, in fact I thought he took Katie's chequered past pretty well.  She may be a pretty girl but that's all she has going for her IMO and Ryan could do a lot better.

    Re: Ryan, grow up

Why did she not tell Ryan that her leaving Andy made him suffer a breakdown which led him to accidently shoot Jack... or why did she not tell him that the only reason she agreed to get pregnant with the Sinclairs baby was because she wanted to get closer to Grayson.

Why would she tell him ? She told her side of the story perhaps in the future she may say more but in the contraints of the programme she told him the basics he needed to know.

I agree that Katie was partly responsible for the events that you mentioned, Vader, but she wasn't the only person involved in those situations. You can't put all the blame on her - the Sugdens and the Sinclairs have to take their share of the responsibility too.

I don't see the need for her to go the whole hog and mention Andy's breakdown, irrelevant and after the event. Also she didn't initially go through with the surrogacy to get closer to Grayson, from the beginning did she, or is my memory failing?

She is very pretty and yes, he could possibly do better, but not in Emmerdale maybe?

No your memory is not failing you i like cider, I think it was only after Perdy and Matthew got closer that she and Grayson were drawn together.  As for Ryan living at home when we first saw him hadn't he just moved back home because he had lost his job or is my memory failing me?  As has been said he is 25/26 so why is Faye interfering like she is, I know being his mum she would like him to go out with a 'nice' girl, but it's decison, mind it all backed fired on her didn't it?Wink

    I agree, daffodilly.

And as for Ryan not being very good on the domestic front  -  so what.  Faye obviously enjoys doing things for her son  -   It hasn't spoilt him in anyway  I'm sure if she were ill, or if she just needed his help, he would assist or take over completely.  I'd even go so far as to say that he goes along with the helpless male act because his mother finds it endearing (no retching sounds, please)  It's takes her back to when he was little.  After all he was living on his own (or with mates) until quite recently.

    Re: Ryan, grow up

Katie didn't know Perdy and Matthew were close. Chas even warned her against having a baby because she was only trying to get close to Gray.

    Re: Ryan, grow up

I'll admit I don't remember the exact sequence of events but I do remember thinking Katie was well out of order at the time. But can't hold that against her for ever, and perhaps with a nicer man she will become a nicer character.

    Re: Ryan, grow up

To be fair to Katie, when she fell for Grayson, she was going through a very difficult time. Her father had not long died in a car accident - she was driving and they were arguing - so she felt guilty for that, she discovered Andy had been having an affair with a woman she thought was her friend and suddenly Grayson appeared to help her with her divorce. He always seemed so supportive of Perdy to the outside world and she wouldn't be the first woman to develop feelings for her solicitor at a time like that.
