I agree with all that you have posted. The new Bill should be arrested for impersonation of anything claiming to be a relative of any version of the ol' Bill series. All our family have watched it together for many many years, hardly ever missing an episode if we could help it. The new Bill is a complete and utter sad disaster. It looks cheap, the pace of dialogue is slowed down to such an extent that even a chimpanzee would have time to go to school, learn English and comprehend what is going on. It all sounds like it is pitched at an audience of non-English speakers learing the language. And the background alledged sound that is impersonating a soundtrack sounds like some guy/gal learning to play the keyboard. The whole production is a joke, a tradgedy. After two episodes we surrendered, gave up, begged that they would lock us up. We couldn't take it anymore. Do they really think the advertisers will continue to invest good money in such a pathetic production? No way. I bet advertising contracts will not be renewed.
Moreover, I also bet that foreign TV companies will not be queing up to but it, but will be laughing their heads off. It's like one of those B movies that is meant to be serious, but ends up being so bad that it becoms a hit. The actors surely must be worried wondering what on earth are they doing in such a production. And again, that alledged music....whoever gave the OK for that must be tone deaf. For us it won't be 'ello, ello 'ello what 'ave we got 'ere then? We can see very well what we 'ave 'ere then, and it is total rubbish. So, goodbye, goodbye goodbye.
