congrats to samia , just read on emmerdale forum to that laurel gave birth yesterday to at 11am one hour after samia to a baby boy. shes called him teddie boo florence??? the mind boggles like samias name for her baby tho.

I like that name as well.  The actress who played Angie Reynolds in Emmerdale was called Freya.  Also Freya is where we get Friday from.

I may be booed out of town for saying this, but I find it heartening that little Freya was born into a family with a mom and a dad married to each other.  Perhaps it's because I'm from a long ago generation, but I find it quite disconcerting when single people announce that theres a baby on the way.  "We're not taking this too seriously.  We're not getting married or anything permanent, but we'll have a baby and see how it goes  Sort of play it by ear".   Jack P Shepherd, Alison King, Ryan Thomas and Tina O'Brien, over on Emmerdale Charlie Webb and Matthew Wolfenden.  Kim Marsh had 2 children while unmarried, then got married but not to the father of her children, got divorced (it was rumoured that her children grew very fond of their step-dad) and fell pregnant less than 2 months into a relationship with a new man and now that relationship has ended after 15 months.  I'm not being Mrs Morals here.  It just doesn't seem in the best interests of the children.

Although I applaud your thinking herne, unfortunately it doesn't always follow that just because a couple are married when they have a child they will stay together.

Sadly true

I agree franny and i like cider.  But marriage before having children does show that there is commitment and intention to give our children our best shot at having a stable, constant united family.  I almost feel that the people who casually have children when in short term relationships should be issued with those car stickers 'Children are not just for Christmas'. 

Oh well, just indulging myself in a mini tirade.  I feel better now.
