It sounds like he's just bitter he was killed off now that the show is on the up again. He was one of the reasons, the show was so rubbish in 2008, he dominated all the storylines.

Perhaps he wanted a holiday? Or he could have hired a private detective to track him down or something...

Although to be fair, I don't blame him for wanting his character to be killed off - he was given some pretty shoddy storylines - Anna DeSouza, anyone? After Perdy left it all went downhill for him really. I'd have liked to have seen him leave with her and raise the baby together. But I guess that's why I'm not story writer, lol!
