You know how soaps tend to attach great big warning signs to certain storylines?  Well, do you reckon this is the case with Michelle's flat's leaky roof + tight Dev not paying for roof repairs + Ben bunking there?  Does all this add up to rainfall causing roof to cave in when Ben is asleep directly under it?  Thus Dev will spend months mooning about declaiming his guilt in his stupidly overemphatic style and Sophie will go off t'rails and lose her religion cos how could God allow such a tragedy blah, blah blah?

Do you think I'm spookily on-target here?  There's got to be some significance to the whole leaky roof thing - any other guesses?

Methinks you must have the second sight.  Can't think of any other plausible reason for making such a big deal about a bit of damp.  But then again, there was that episode about Theresa and a tin of Spam - what was that all about?

Dunno about meeting his Maker but Ben is due to snog Michelle at some stage under her roof, gross.  Mind you she usually snogs men in front of her son, she has to rank as one of the worst Corrie mothers ever. 

Dunno about Ben, but you're right, there is usually some reason behind that kind of thing. I believe the whole damp plot is so she gets to meet her new man, the alternative roofer!

Hmmm, yes, after the Weds episode it looks as if Michelle (Bury Me in a Y-Shaped Coffin) Connor is going to be making the beast with 2 backs with the rampantly hormonal young dish of the day, Ben.  Could the director have made Ben's teenage luuurst for Mich any more obvious?  And how many mothers of teenage lads would parade around in such slutty scanties when son's BF was around?  Mind you, no-one could ever accuse the amazingly self-absorbed Michelle  of having an excess of brain cells.

But now that Michelle has exposed herself to hunky man hanging from her window does that mean she is going into a two-timing frenzy?  Hunky man and religious Ben?  I'll have what she's having...
