    The Kabin

Why are the writers intent on putting unreal and daft characters in this shop. What's the point. This latest one was neither funny or interesting.

because they have a backwards sense of humour. I think they should put Kirk in there. Him and Norris could be really funny together.

I agree, I know Kirk isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer (even he admits that) but he knows the locals, is friendly and is willing to work.  Did go from one extreme to the other Sheila didn't shut up and Joan  hardly said a word.

I dont  know why Dierdre doesnt go for it, she has just been made redundant from the Council and knows everybody but I suspect the writers think its Oh So Hilarious for us viewers to have this stream of oddballs, oh my aching sides.  Stick out tongue

    Re: The Kabin

It really is such a silly story line but I wouldn't be surprised if Kirk does end up working in the shop with Norris.  I think they would make a great 'couple '  Blanche is probably too 'old' for the job but how fantastic would she be dishing out her 'one liners' to all the customers. I really feel that they need some new scriptwriters on Corrie.

    Re: The Kabin

I definitely think Kirk would be fun in he shopSmile, but as has been said before how a little shop like that supports or needs 3 staff is beyond me. If he needs help why doesn't Tina just work full time?

    Re: The Kabin

That mute woman is utterly daft - just looks silly, like they're trying to keep costs down by hiring an actress for a non-speaking part.

    Re: The Kabin

Yes, it's starting to look a bit desperate isn't it?  The Silent One is unrealistically non-communicative, avoiding utterances about the most trivial and inconsequential of matters.  It don't ring true, folks.  Perhaps she's taking the adage that empty vessels make the most noise a tad far.  She comes across as borderline personality disorder - relevance to any sort of plot?  Writers have lost their way methinks.

Are they worth watching I wonder? I certainly wouldn't be up for paying out for them and I have to wonder how many people do.
