    Coronation Street textual Catch Ups/Updates

Some of you have written to us to ask where the old textual Catch Ups with screenshots are on the new site.

They can be found by clicking on the Catch Up date of your choice and scrolling down to the bottom to the ‘Scene by scene’ link in blue. This takes you to a gallery page with screenshots from the show and corresponding text.

We’re sorry that you’ve had so much difficulty finding them. We have created a site guide for you to look through and find out where all your Corrie essentials are. When you get a chance, have a read through.

If any questions have not been answered, please post your comments here and we’ll do our best to rectify any problems.

    Many thanks,

    ITV Soaps editor

    Catchups

Thanks so much for steering me in the right direction. I have been watching Corrie for over 40 yrs.

I love the catch ups. Would hate not to have access to them.

Re: Coronation Street textual Catch Ups/Updates

At the moment I am getting "This feature requires that the free Flash Player plug-in is installed and JavaScript is enabled", I have updated to the latest Flash and checked JavaScript but still get this same message.  Previously this had worked fine for ages, anyone else having the same problem at the moment?

I've used the feedback link, indicating on there that I'm using Internet Explorer 6 on XP with Windows Media Player 11. Hope this is fixed soon because I enjoy the Scene by Scene feature.

    Flash player/JavaScript not recognised

I am getting the same problem as soulie. Every time I log on to ITV.com, I get the error message "This feature requires that the free Flash Player plug-in is installed and JavaScript is enabled" . I have re-downloaded the latest Flash several times, and checked "Enable JavaScript" in IE7, but without success. As things stand, I can't watch any video on ITV.com at all. I am using Internet Explorer 7 with XP and Windows Media Player 11. Any helpful suggestions?

    Re: Flash player/JavaScript not recognised

The problem is now solved! In my case, all I had to do was to turn off the pop-up blocker in Norton 360 (one of the extra features) as well as setting the blocker in IE7 to allow pop-ups on the ITV.com site. As soon as this was done, I got my vido player back! Give it a try, soulie, if you have a pop-up blocker in your antivirus software as well as in IE7.

    Re: Flash player/JavaScript not recognised

Thanks for suggestion, I have "Norton Internet Security 2006", so Pop-up blocker would be similar.  I'd already set IE to allow pop-ups on ITV.com and from your suggestion temporarily disabled the Norton blocker, but it still didn't solve the problem for the Scene By Scene pages.

Re: Coronation Street textual Catch Ups/Updates

I STILL can't see the textual catch ups! I've used this feature for years and like a lot of other people it has suddenly gone. I keep getting the download flash player message too. I have uninstalled and re installed it loads of times. I have turned off the pop up blocker. Nothing seems to work. I've even uninstalled and re installed the windows media player.

How many more of you are getting this problem? I have emailed itv support but not had any reply as yet.

Re: Coronation Street textual Catch Ups/Updates

I can now watch the catch ups!

I have Norton and went to Norton Security home page, clicked on web browsing,

    then clicked on ad blocker,

    then configure ad blocker,

    then clicked advanced,

then in the left hand defaults column I clicked "add site" and put www.itv.com. and clicked add.

I was then able to click on itv.com in the default column and put in www.itv.com in the strings column clicking "permit."

Hope this might help some other poor frustrated individual like me!!!!

Big thanks for this, it's worked for me too. Something must have changed on the site that Norton had started picking up that it didn't before.

Re: Coronation Street textual Catch Ups/Updates

I know the theory, click on the date, then scroll down, however, I missed the updates the week before Christmas, so tried to catch up with no luck during Christmas, nothing more than one week was available. This is not the first time I have not been able to catch up more than a week after. It's bad enough that I can't watch The Street any more, having watched it from the very first episode, as I now live in Spain, but it's not always possible to find the time for the  catch ups within a week.
