    CITV

Hey what does everyone think about ITV taking CITV off the air? Smile

Do you think that the reason had anything to do with the advertising problems that they were having? Confused

Had any of you not actually realised that it had been taken off?

So do you think that CITV was taken off the air due to the fact that cbbc is more popular then? Geeked

    Re: CITV

I dont think they should take it off air although it has just realy become an import channel.  I guess it is a bit due to not that long ago ITV lost millions of pounds from advertising as they are now not aloud to have adverts for fast food, although the adverts were very rarely about the food and more about the toy.  Since fast food advertising during childrens programming has been band when I go in the fast food places I have find that children actuly get the value meals.

I have noticed that ITV doesn't seem to attempt to make negitive problems in to positive problems.  With ITV play for example, they could have done quite alot to rescue the brand such as diffrent programmes, play alongs with game shows and improving the current shows on ITV play to name just a few, instead the channel was closed and ITV play on ITV1 and 2 is now going.

It is not just that some people dont trust the programmes it is because they are the same games over and over again.  With quizmania and The Mint you had the chance to win a jackpot and guess the last two numbers on the cheque (quizmania) or guess the combination for the vult (The Mint).  They also didn't just have games where you had to guess words.
