    No Live Streaming On TV....

Absolutely disgraceful that over the 4 ITV channels, they are not showing live streaming this year. I would love a proper explanation from the producers as to why this (no doubt) expensive to make show has slipped from the nightime listings in exchange for teleshopping and other crap (on all 4 channels).

I realise there is streaming of the previous nights footage (probably edited) online, but what use is that to people that don't have internet access?

For ITV to have 4 all-night channels and not use one to show this hugely popular show is beyond belief considering their recent record....

They wouldn't tell us last year either. I suppose they want to keep free space for those stupid game shows that no one ever wins

Re: No Live Streaming On TV....

And where the heck is the live streaming video they promised on the website?

No mater what I click, all I get is a bunch of commercials.

PAH! Never watched reality shows before, and only wanted to see Gemma of the Jungle.

All that anticipation, gone faster then a slimey bug down a celebs throat.

HI SUNLOVER, WE TOO LIVE OUTSIDE THE UK AND CANNOT ACCESS, WE HAVE WAITED ALL YEAR TO ENJOY THE PROGRAMME INCLUDING LIVE STREAMING. IT IS A DISGRACE THAT THEY WOULD STILL PUT THOSE HORRID GAME SHOW AND OTHER RUBBISH ON. I ALSO LOVE BIG BROTHER AND CAN WATCH THAT ON TV THROUGH THE RED BUTTON AND ON PC, SAME AS ONE OF MY OTHER FAV PROGS WHICH IS MOST HAUNTED, NOW THAT IS BRILLIANT AS WE CAN  WATCH IT AND STILL GO INTERACTIVE ON THE PC.. ITS TIME FOR ITV TO BUCK UP THEIR IDEAS.

I agree completely, I tend to lose interest because I never seem to get to know the contestants, lots of my friends say the same thing, not enough coverage.

Re: No Live Streaming On TV....

Why would anyone want to watch such drivel any way.  If this is the best that ITV can offer you should re-examine your values.  The entire schedule for monday night is puerile and it just got worse with " I'm a nobody please raise my profile"

Cant wait for it to end

I wouldn't mind if they hadn't had streaming before but they have!  it just seems so strange, if they'd give an explanation to it then at least I could try to understand, just seems tight to me

Re: No Live Streaming On TV....

I watched im a celebrity get me out of here last night, It was canny. I wouldnt want to watch it 24 hrs anyway and i think the catch up on a night time coverage is enough. Im from Sunderland so im a fan of Ant and Dec Plus my hubby used to knock about with them when they were at school.

But its a shame the live coverage wont be showed as a lot of people would enjoy watching it

This is so annoying. I am able to get the streaming on my computer but even with broadband I keep losing the connection. I was hoping to relax for a couple of hours at lunch time to get to know the contestants, not sit infront of my computer monitor in my office chair. I do that for enough hours in the day as it is.

I joined the forum to find out if I was looking in the wrong place for the streaming on my telly, I can't believe that ITV are not showing it, bah!!!!!!Angry

Re: No Live Streaming On TV....

This forum is obviously moderated by someone at (or for) ITV, can you provide an answer to why this is not being streamed on ITV2 this year? Considering the huge cost of producing this show, why have they made this decision, it just seems such a waste?

Is it possible the amount of revenue from "Make Your Play" is still just too tempting, even considering the trouble ITV have gotten into with these "quiz" shows? Perhaps not enough people are going to view through the night, to warrant the satellite air-time of showing a programme from Australia?

Considering every year has been streamed through the night so far, I think someone, somewhere is being very naiive to think this point wasn't going to be raised. People obviously look forward to seeing much more footage than the nightly highlights, and an internet only stream, which doesn't appear to work very well, simply doesn't cut it at all. Someone has made a big mistake this year. It's clear ITV have had their share of troubles in the past, but by making decisions like this, it seems a very foolish way of trying to increase ratings.

Only conclusion I can come to is that is cheaper to screen 'Teleshopping' and 'Nightscreen' than it is to use satellite time, and that 'Make Your Play' is a huge source of revenue. Says it all really, but it's all wrong. If it's not broken (and the viewers like it) why fix it? I wonder if the 'celebrities' realise they will have much less exposure this year?

Not expecting an official reply any time soon, but if there is one, it's more or less going to say "we can do what we like".

Re: No Live Streaming On TV....

I wouldn't hold your breath tennentg, doubt very much that they will take any notice of what you, I or anyone else says for that matter. All there going to do is end up losing viewers in my opinion and then they will end up taking it of air all together. I feel I've missed so much of the show so far so why bother watching anymore, its very disappointing as in the past I've been an avid watcher Sad

Re: No Live Streaming On TV....

This is the trouble with us brits we do not stick together on anything we had an window for debate and no back up!

Maybe what jordan and maclaren where talking about might have some truth in it.(hotel)

10 MILLION VIEWERS watched the opening evening and I can,t beleive that we have not got 10% of people to join the debate.

Also bullying in schools not tolerated yet the big companies like itv can get away with it..Something happened along the line somewhere just why can,t itv came out and tell us why is there no live streaming.
