    Re: rabbit run on tv

Just wondering are we one of the last to be added as we have possibly the cheapest car????? Probably the most reliable though!

Just wondered Craig, how many are in each team?

Trying out a couple of bullet cameras for the car this weekend. One wireless the other on a cable. Just got to figure out where to put them! I think one low under the number plate and one on the side of the wheel arch somewhere. Anyone with any ideas? Could put one on the back as we speed past you i suppose!!

    Confused

    Re: rabbit run on tv

    Hi Martyn,

There's going to be 11 ish cars per team.

With regards to bullet camera's, placing one really low looks good, we had one about 12" off the ground last year and it was used one the DVD and came out well. Also putting one on the wheel arch would look good, especially on that twisty hill road (forget the name).

How are you recording them, are you using a camcorder with a dv input? I used that last year and it worked well but wish we had used a bullet on the rear screen pointing forwards to get both us in the picture as well as the road.

If you're using the camcorder to record try and get a switch for the bullets, we were for ever pulling wires out and swapping them over to change from cam1 to cam2,

Also, have you bought, borrowed or hired them? Want to do it again this year but the company i hired them from doesn't hire anymore.

Ps. wouldn't worry about the car you're in, I'd just worry about what team you fall into, fingers crossed for your sake it's team 3, otherwise you're going to have to pay full price again next year!

    Hi Martyn

You will be placed in your team on Monday and when a car is placed has nothing to do with its value (SLR only placed this week) but i am very sure you will be happy with your team, go on have a guess which team do you think you will be in ????

Only 8 cars per team, although it is rather tempting to open the flood gates and take 20 per team. (forget about the money craig and stick to the core values) any way thats what i have to keep on telling myself. If you click on the 2009 bit on the home page you will see all the 2008 people are reserved on 2009 then prob  around september when we have a deffinate show of hands we will let a few more newbies on.

Let me know how you get on with the bullets (low down looks good) adam has had a lot of experience with this.

    Hi Martin

That's definitely not the case.  I think it simply worked out that as we read through the entry list, being 28, you were near the bottom.  As  it stands, there are 8 x cars in each team.

Reference the bullet cam, Adam ( The am team) had one on the rear of the car and it did work really well, he had some good shots from that

     Hope this is helpful

    Re: rabbit run on tv

On the subject of filming, the Rabbit Run 2008 film will be filmed and edited by gary and his team, they did a great rabbit run 2006 and we are dalighted that they are doing 2008. Three pro camera men will be comming on the trip and basically one will travel with each team.

However the best bits on the films are always the the bits shot by you guys with your own cameras in the cars (funnies etc + bullets). So i know most of you already have camera mounts but if you don't already have and quite fancy one then please let us know, they are £95 + £10 p+p they are very good and the better the shot quality and content the more chance it will be used in the film. We will supply tapes at the meet and great and collect them at the end of the trip so we can edit your footage into the film, at the reunion (mid September) the tape will be returned to you.

    Teams are looking good

I'm confused, 8 cars per team (24 total)  but 31 cars on website (32 spaces)...... Team 4's opening up?

I'm sure there's a logical explanation Holmes Geeked

    Hi Adam,

Your right it’s all gone quite!Zip it!

Perhaps people are reflecting on the event ahead?…not seen any coded or teem talk or discreet tactics being passed across the forum, or maybe there are some secret team meeting being set up?...whisper whisper…are now that a thought?Idea

Or maybe everyone too busy polishing there motors and checking tyre pressures.Automobile

I have other suggestion team leaders…Maybe the teams should have names as well?

Something like the Bunny snatchers, or the Furry fiends……talking point for discussion?.

    Keep it alive...Big Smile
