What a turnaround for the character. From going to the most well liked King towards the end of last year, he's become the most unrealistic, terribly bad and totally pathetic character in the show.

What a wimp to hit his brother with a weapon. Probably took too much man power he doesn't have to use his fists. Girlie fighter.

Plus he took the weapon home with him  I can understand Donald being amazed why Carl wouldn't press charges but he doesn't know the Kings like we do does he?

Carl had it  coming.

He has become smug and supercilious  and gloating to Matthew about killing their father
was typical of him.   He's very quickly forgotten that Jimmy and Matthew saved his bacon
over that as they did when he killed the postman.

It wasn't much of a beating anyway,  he looked the better for it.

Matts my favourite character so gotta stick up for him!!

He did regret what he had done you could see that on his face when he saw Carl in the hospital, and when he went around the next day to apologise.

The writers do need to get him back with Perdy though and show his more sensitive and caring side again.

I couldn't agree more. I haven't watched the show for three weeks now.

This should cheer you up then Vader. Apparently Matthew and Perdy are going to get back together as part of Grayson's exit storyline. Apparently there is also going to be another "whodunnit" storyline at the end of June which leads up to Grayson's explosive exit.

 

I don't know how true that is so I could be wrong

I cannot believe Perdy would take back Matthew after he literally "threw" her out.  I am not a fan of Perdy but his treatment of her for a rather flimsy reason was disgraceful.  

Herby. I made up that Grayson whodunnit at my forum as an April Fool's Joke and someone took it from there and took it seriously.

There is no reconcilliation on the cards between Perdy/Matthew going up to the beginning of May in the spoilers I've got.

Matthew's storylines are about to get worse. He's going to become even more tedius and overbearing. What a change from how good he was towards the end of 2007.

The Kings were better with others.

Carl works better with Chas

Jimmy with Scarlett

Matthew with Perdy/Grayson (and Rosemary before she left)

They're dull as a threesome now.

Once again someone has been badly beaten up, this time with a golf club and the result is just a few cuts and bruises.  Isn't it about time violence was shown to have the serious consequences on the victims that we read about in the papers.

It was obvious last night that Chas still cares a lot for Carl, I do wish they could get back together.

This character is long overdue a come uppance.
