Mmmmm Matthew used to be quite a good charcater but like a lot of them the story content is now pretty stale rooting for a decent story and unable to find one they resort to try and shock, by having him go at his brother with a 9 iron! Pretty crappy.

By the way which forum is yours Vader?

    Re: Pathetic Matthew

The lack of good storylines and good writing in the show forced me to shut down. A lot of the members, like me, have switched off in recent months.

To be honest I was wondering about that as well.

Also why would you be forced to shut down? Emmerdale is still there. Whether it is good or bad people can still talk about it?

    Re: Pathetic Matthew

Well when most of the regular members, including myself, are not interested in the show, I didn't see the point in maintaining a forum. Other forums exist, so the members who still watch it, can set up camp in other forums.

It's as simple as that. Isn't it simple?

And I am perfectly within my rights to judge the state of a show.

How can you judge the state of any TV programme if you are not interested in it and don't watch it?

    Re: Pathetic Matthew

There has been a marked down-turn in the quality of storylines and characterisation in recent months.  Two million viewers have switched off and the majority of press who aren't biased will agree.

As an avid viewer myself over the past 18 months,  I am losing faith.  vader is obviously the same - a regular viewer who has judged the show on what has been happening.

    almerac:

When endless soap magazines, television listing guides, newspapers and websites give the majority of every soap storyline away, it isn't easy to avoid what crud the show is dishing out. That and the recent article that documented the two million drop in viewers...

So your opinion is not your own but merely borrowed.

Would actually watching the show not be more productive than believing a few journalists and self-proclaimed 'experts' on websites?

'I don't like xxx because yyy says so'  is not going to be taken seriously.

    Re: Pathetic Matthew

My opinion is always my own.

I see nothing productive in watching the show, just like I see nothing productive in continuing this discussion with you. It's quite obvious what your soul intention is by responding to me. Very obvious in fact.

    Re: Pathetic Matthew

I don't see what almerac has said that is wrong and I don't see an intention.

Im sorry but I have agreed with you a lot of the time Vader but I can't over this. If you see nothing productive about watching the show then what is so productive about writing posts on a forum about something you dont like?

I don't like Eastenders, I don't read all the press about it, the storylines in the magazines and then go and write on the EE forum to espress my dislike I stay away from EE.

Anyway back to the original of Matt, it seems everyone is leaving him, I think he was shocked when Jimmy stood up to him.

Jo. I'm not asking anyone to agree with me, but as this is a forum, I think everyone is entitled to air their opinion on the sorry state of the show. Look around you, I am not the only one.

Let's hope though that Jimmy doesn't back down and return to the fold, you know how soft he can be.  Matthew was acting as if he didn't care but when he looked at the brochure with King & Sons on you saw his reaction, cos for the moment it is only Son.

I think Matt had Grace done in, and it will come out soon enough!!

Be serious! Grace died after being hit by a lorry and Carl only lived because he stopped to answer his phone otherwise he'd have died too
