    Hamilton arrogance again!!

Pity he hasn't lost his arrogant edge when commenting on his performance.

Quote:- I'll be alright, I'm up with the professional drivers.

What about the 17 behind him, are they not professionals?

OH PLEASE - have you ever thought he may have been saying something complimentary about the other drivers.  This man couldn't say amen without someone would have a pop.

Yes cfol I have to agree, Lewis said nothing unreasoinable this time.  There's no point in picking on him just for the sake of it.  I think he's finally learning how tough F1 is and it could well be the best thing for him in the long run.  He's said plenty of bigheaded things in the past but not this time, so there's no need for anyone to have a go at him.

    Re: Hamilton arrogance again!!

Just knew that comment would fuel another Hamilton-bashing session! IMO he was stating that he's amongst professional drivers, i.e. they all know how to drive to avoid piling into one another, hopefully.  I'm sure nothing derogatory was meant by the comment but he could have perhaps worded it better.

I'm not an LH fan but couldn't just let this go.

Well he said, he was up in the part of the grid with the professional drivers, which implies he thinks the ones at the back are less professional. Quite funny about the comment of "pilling into one another" since that was exactly what Hamilton did at the last race. Twice.

    Re: Hamilton arrogance again!!

I'm usually one of his harshest critics on here, for which I make no apologies, I think he can be terribly arrogant, but today wasn't one of those times imo, I can see the point the OP is making though, he alluded to the fact that those drivers at (or near) the front of the grid were pro's, without seeming to encompass the whole field, perhaps he really does believe the back markers are "monkeys" I think it was just a poor choice of words in reality, he looked shell shocked to find himself on the third row and was perhaps a little unprepared for mz Goodman.

I did pick up on that actually and had to think for a moment, at the same time I thought "there's going to be a thread on EXACTLY that statement on the ITV-F1 forums".  But anyway, he also said

"Being on the third row is not the end of the world as we are surrounded by good drivers who all want to finish the race"...  Read into it what you will, but it's not arrogance it's just mis-spoken words; I don't think he really means any harm by it and doesn't mean to put anyone else down.

Get a life, that was a totally harmless comment and to be quite honest it make you look fairly silly at best and obsessed at worse

in your opinion, i'm not a LH fan but this is taking it to extremes ,the only ones suggesting that the other 17 drivers are less proffesional is people like you who appear to want to rip a drivers comment apart to suit their own perceptions

thats hardly fair, how many lewis fans have done exactly the same time and again over fernando's comments?

oh and btw, i think today he realised that maybe he's not as good as his hype

"It shouldn't be such a problem up there, you're obviously with all the professional drivers and they all want to finish, so we'll make sure we get a good start and see if we can get a few places at the beginning," he said.

Not obsessed at all, just an observation, see quote above, shouldn't be a problem up there

    etc.    Nuff said!!

    Re: Hamilton arrogance again!!

Bit of a sweeping statement.  Take it you have met the young man in question personally and can therefore give an unbiased, first hand account of how you arrive at the opinion of his arrogance.  Just because someone does not come over well in interviews or has the confidence of youth, does not make them arrogant.

We perhaps all came over like that to others when we were that age.

    Re: Hamilton arrogance again!!

I think we are all just missing Michael, he may have been arrogant too but the guy was awsome, he made some mistakes but made no appologies for them either,he just kept on winning.

So now without MS to kick around it's lewy's turn.
