    Re: Hamilton arrogance again!!

Sounded to me as though he was saying sorry for his last go in a racing car when he drove into the back of his best mate.

"It shouldn't be such a problem up there, you're obviously with all the professional drivers and they all want to finish, so we'll make sure we get a good start and see if we can get a few places at the beginning," he said.

Not obsessed at all, just an observation, see quote above, shouldn't be a problem up there

    etc.    Nuff said!!

You are obviously as good as observing as you are at missquoting. Your starter post missquoted his words which you called an arrogant comment on his performance. Hardly an arrogant comment on his performance when he refers to being UP there, I guess you think he was expecting a further back position then ?  Hardly an arrogant comment on his future performance with the words 'see if'.

'shouldn't be a problem up there' is a fair observation if you knew anything about racing, third row is far enough up the grid to stay clear of the monkey action at the back of the grid, where the cars tend to climb over themselves, as the hard braking position swapping action at the front end makes the following drivers guess work at instantly changing braking points appear ameturish.

Lewis should know from last meeting how that feels, as he missed Alonso's early block on the exit after already damanging his front end earlier.

Now I wonder if Alonso had said, 'I'll be okay as long as I dont get rear ended by some gimp' that would have been taken as a cool quote. I certainly would have lol'd.

OH PLEASE - have you ever thought he may have been saying something complimentary about the other drivers.  This man couldn't say amen without someone would have a pop.

Ah I get it, insinuating that they are unprofessional should be taken as a compliment. Silly me!

(or is this another shining example of a Hamilton fan defending the indefensible)

    Re: Hamilton arrogance again!!

Well maybe, but I shouldn't worry too much - as soon as Ron leaves, he'll be out on his ear and if he's lucky he may get a ride with one of the 'non-professional' others.

That said, comparing LH to 'Glock' and the hapless 'Piquet' - it has to be said he was the best of the bunch. (Doesn't say much for GP2 drivers, does it).

Maybe he could get a ride with his best mate  `SATO`, who I am sure he has the greatest respect
for and would never fear being next to on the grid.

    Re: Hamilton arrogance again!!

I am not a Hamilton fan, in particular, but get sick to the back teeth of everyone jumping on this young man's back at the drop of a hat.  I follow in large the British drivers but can admire and resect everyone of them, I certainly could not do what they do, I get nervous doing 70 on the motorway.

It just appears that Hamilton bashing on this forum is becoming increasingly inane and no credit is given where credit is due.  Yes, he has been hyped by the media to the nines, but is that actually his fault, yes the hype is sickening, but again is that his fault.

I felt his interview prior to the race, one of the bits I did catch, came over well and realistic, no arrogance, no look at me I am wonderful, but reasoned and without overly ambitious targets.  But don't suppose he will get any credit for that and no doubt it will be his fault personally that ITV had the audacity to cut the Ferrari interviews from their coverage, oh and don't forget world poverty, etc etc etc Sleep

Lets not forget that Rubens is about to become the most experienced F1 driver in history.... Just because he's not on the pace of the McLaren because he is in a Honda doesnt make him any less professional... it does speak volumes for his humilty while Lewis comments and his ***winking at the camera does nothing but fuel sentiments that he is overly arrogant...

I think it is very arrogant to say Rubens is humiliated because he is driving a Honda, Does that mean Ross one of the most succesfull achievers in the sport behind the cars is humiliated by being at Honda. What about the drivers and teams not yet on the pace with Honda do they find being in F1 a humiliating experience.

Get a grip with your own obsession, poor Lewis can't even deploy his tear duct washers in selective non-syncronised mode without you jumping on his back.

Arrogance is claiming you bring 0.5 seconds to the team only have been exposed as trying your damdest to find those gains from insider knowledge from another team. Arrogance is saying you could deliver the team the WCC if only they slowed at least one other driver a bit, ironically the one who apparently is 0.5 secs less well equipped.

Oh and by the way, next time Lewis winks to the telly, you know he is winking just at you.

    Wink

LOL, r macaw, like the way you complain at someone for having a negative opinion of Lewis, then go on to make unsubstantiated claims about another driver whom you obviously don't like.  BTW it was McLaren who were found to be in possession of another team's data - and admitted so second time around - not a single driver.

Pity he hasn't lost his arrogant edge when commenting on his performance.

Quote:- I'll be alright, I'm up with the professional drivers.

What about the 17 behind him, are they not professionals?

With drivers like DC around, you can hardly blame him for writing them off as professionals...

    Re: Hamilton arrogance again!!

Eventhough I hate him and I think that alot of the stuff he says is very arogant, I still think that what he ment was that he will be okay because he has the skill because he is one of the professional drivers. Nothing arrogant there

    Re: Hamilton arrogance again!!

There's a very good video on a famous internet video site called How Hamilton's attitude changes when he sees a camera.

This sums up alot of it for me.

    Re: Hamilton arrogance again!!

It's all down to attitude... plain and simple. The fact that he doesn't seem to care about anything or anyone else UNTIL he sees the camera. Then it's ok with the beaming smile, the cheeky thumbs up and that occasional cheeky wink. Also the fact that he doesn't acknowledge Kimi until the knows the cameras on him so he comes across as this really nice guy that everyone falls for.

Sorry Lewis but this time the camera saw you first.

Why do you follow Hamilton when he is off camera, or that moment when Hamilton was fixing himself, saw the camera, patted Kimi on his back and said a couple of words to him.....sums up every single drop of his movements?

Seriously, what if Hamilton missed a ceremony he didnt care about because he was taking a number two?
