Just use the "contact us" on the ITV Sport F1 site.  That should get through.  Don't suppose you will get a reply though.

No Bias towards drivers during interviews etc.

How do you know there'll be no bias?

i've been watching thr bbc motgp races and even though now James Toseland is there they are not that biased on him. sure they talk about him in the build-up a bit more than the other riders, but when it gets to the race theytalk of everyone, not just toseland. so i think that in 2009 we will not have these shambles at itv

    Re: ITV!!!!!

First of all it was disgusting that itv failed to show the full press conference, i am a hamilton fan (mclaren fan before lewis tho ) but i dont watch just for the 1 driver ! i like to know whats going on with all the drivers.

Secondly i wish people would stop slagging LH off for all the coverage he gets, its not his fault, he's not in charge of itv !

And thirdly when itv first got the rights to F1 i was a little worried but the coverage was a lot better that the bbc but now a cant wait for it to return to the bbc !

Gosh you lot have been whinging for some dodgy apology for weeks, thinking some people bullying squad will give you power, instead you lot where left with eggs on your faces. Isnt it time to just shut up, understand the media reactions to Hamilton and start enjoying the race.

I am surprised no one complained about the footage Hamilton received from the SPANISH race director, it was a hell of a lot, so if he can do that in Spain of all places understand the support and coverage he gets on his home soil....he is drawing in the crowd!

I bet Alonso gets full coverage in Spain and wasnt it beautiful to see innate NATIONAL crazy mad support for Alonso, and no doubt it is all alonso in the media in Spain...who is complaining?

    Re: ITV!!!!!

Hmm .... many people have stated here British Team, British broadcaster etc etc blah, blah...

ITV is actually the broadcaster for a number of English speaking countries e.g. South Africa.

Taking this on board, thier coverage is very poor and not just biased towards one driver in particular but also by doing this disrespects and at best casts a jaundiced eye over the other drivers.

For those those of you interested:

Yesterday was interesting in the press conference Kimi said "We didn’t need to push. If we wanted to push, we could go much faster, for sure, but there’s no point in risking anything or using the engine more than you needed to."

Lewis said "In the last stint I was able to keep quite close and pushing and pushing right to the last lap"

The way ITV covered the race it looked as if Lewis was as fast as the Ferraris and Steve Rider was soooo enthused about that.

At least Mark Blundell said that he didn't think so and that he thought the Ferrari's were up to 0.5 s per lap quicker so at the very end of the coverage one honest opinion at least.

Oh, as for so called "Hamilton Bashing" he's the one that needs to a learn a little politics. I have noticed a disturbing groundswell of dislike for the young man on other forums and in non-English press and most of it is down to his quotes so he must learn to temper what he says. No driver in history has talked himself is so big a way while havinh no WDC under their belt.

Hamilton, belt up, put your head down and drive. We all know you have ability just concentrate on the job and less of the narcissism (intended or not).

I notice it is not a crime to bash MS, KR etc here but onlt LH! ;-)

Formla One has 22 drivers on the grid and 11 teams. Please take note ITV.

A bit difficult to enjoy the race when the important bits are swept aside to make was for adverts don't you think?

    Re: ITV!!!!!

If its any consolation,  (probably not) you Brits are not alone with poor F1  coverage. In NZ we also get the ITV coverage, however when you are getting ads we often go to an onboard camera with no commentary for the duration. However if the race runs long they cut the entire press conference off,so we have stayed up til 1.40am,monday morning to watch the race only to see it cut off short. We are at the mercy of our SkyTV broadcast and no amount of complaining seems to make any difference.

Indeed we have been whinging and will continue to do so!  Although it doesn't seem to get through to the powers that be, it does you good to get it off your chest!

I think most people accept that LH will get more coverage, although I think they overestimate his popularity compared to the other drivers.  This forum for example has contributions from a wide range of people supporting different drivers/teams  On this occasion it was not LH overhype that was the problem, but the shamelss failure to consider the race winner as the most important achiever of the race.

    Re: WTF ITV!!!!!

the adverts it did seem more than usual, in fact I found my self flicking over other stations and watching cartoons forgetting about F1 because I was so bored by the adverts, which didn't really help with my interest in the race,

I did see the Hammy and Heikki start and thought Hammy nearly took the nose off Heikki, which good on Heikki slow and than move to the other side of the BMW, I also thought that Heikki should of follow Hammy blocking the BMW on the first corner.

but then if M Schmacher would done that same move to his team mate we would of said he was a racer

You see millions have clearly demonstrated they hate Hamilton with a passion BUT they hang on to his every word, move, gesture, look, blink, stance and metablolic system the works...so whether we DONT want to consciously see him (I do) Many subconsciously want to see him...if only to pull the slightest comment to pieces!

You always refuse to read people's whole post!  I'm NOT bashing your hero!  I just think making a bit more fuss of the race winner is important.  If not what's the point of having a race?!  You might as well just have an F1 celebrity parade!
