Having just returned had to post these comments after all the negative comments made prior to the event about the Spanish fans. We sat in tribune j totally surrounded by Alonso fans apart from 2 Kimi/Massa fans to our left. What a party atmostphere we all applauded Kimis pole on Saturday Alonsos briiliant lap and we endured the laughing at Lewis at back of the three, but still we drank beer together, conversed the best we could all using our limited skills in each others language. Sunday even better we all sat in the sun, laughed joked and had great time and one spanish gentleman even accepted my Lewis cap with a laugh and smile, we all had great time. What other sport can bring all suporters together like that. Thanks to all see you all again next year

So you were all fluent in different language - they were probably swearing at you between the laughs..
Never turn your back on a Spanish fan...

You seriously did not just say that?! Jeez! Can't you keep your negative nonsense out of a thread that's generally promoting inter-nation comradery?!? Argh, honestly!

Some people sweep problems under the carpet, I prefer to bring them out in the open for closer inspection.

Amazing, no im not fluent in these languages, but when a spanish fan gets a towel out of his cool box to wipe your seat that is damp from morning mist you dont have to be a brain surgeon to know that he is being friendly, i take it a certain person on here has not been sits in arm chair trying to be disruptive, I and many I spoke to will certainly go back, and on a British note I will say the food at the track did make Silverstones look cheap!!

That was my point, most people, although may prefer one driver or team, are just real fans of the sport.

Sounds great, glad you had such a good time!
Must admit I've always found F1 fans, and motor racing fans in general, wherever in the world, to be a very decent bunch of people. As in life, there are always one or two idiots (usually with more beer on board than they can handle!!) but the overwhelming majority are brilliant.

Oops forgive the newbie...
I wish it was the same all over the circuit. My husband has just come back from Barcelona today - he isn't really a Lewis fan but he was sickened by the Alonso fans in Grandstand G during the race - when Heikki had his accident all of the Alonso fans cheered because they thought it was Lewis Hamilton underneath the tyres - he was disgusted. He also saw several racist placards and people wearing afro wigs. Funny how these weren't seen on screen.....
Really are you sure, ITV done their best to edit this out. I feel cheated, I feel disgusted, i feel manipulated, i feel angry!

Like I said, sweeping things under the carpet seems to be a way of life out there...
If what you say is true, then it's yet another FIA scandal...

nicekim:They are like M. Schumacher fans at Germany where Kimi lost his rear wing and crashed --> crowd did go wild
and the british fans when Schumacher went off at Silverstone. it'll always happen.
glad you had a great time at Barca hamiltonwillwin; was there 2 years ago and have nothing but praise for the facility and the fans. unless you've been yourself, i don't think anybody should comment on hearsay.
