lol, lets hope it does stay cheerful.

Massa is usually strong at turkey, one of his best, and i believe it was a Ferrari 1-2 last year, so it looks like Ferrari are the ones to beat.

I'd have to say Ferrari, it's a track which suits there package a little better than the others. I see the difference in pace being similar to Spain. Massa has driven superbly there in the past, but the momentum is with Raikkonen at the moment, he was strong there with Mclaren too.

Hmmmm one of only Three Anti-Clockwise tracks, I'm gonna go with Ferrari, I'll stick my neck out and say Kimi, and if he does win, I might even go further and say he'll have a good crack at the lap record, 1:24.770 set by Montoya in 2005.

I think BMW might just surprise a few people too.

Apart from that ? Cranberry sauce, surely.

Thanks for your replies.  I am having a total senior moment and cannot for the life of me recall the Istanbul circuit.  Is it left handed/right handed, straight ahead and all systems go, susceptible to rain.  For heavens sake someone put me out of my miseryStick out tongue

Ferrari, just because they are prett storng and have been on cruise control the last 3 matches. I feel Lewis will drive stick in Monaco, and next 3 matches after!

Featuring 14 challenging bends and an unusual anti-clockwise layout, it is considered a benchmark test of both driver and car, and the multi-apex Turn Eight has already gone down in Formula One folklore as one of the sport’s toughest corners.

It’s also fast, with two long straights that see the cars reach speeds of over 330 km/h, while its mixture of fast and slow corners means there are plenty of overtaking opportunities. Adding to the circuit’s spectacle are dramatic gradient changes - over the course of a lap, the track’s elevation varies by almost 46 metres.  Smile

    Re: Who will Turkey favour?

We are talking about track where Massa were on next level upwards even compared to M.Schumacher.

Is this statement in preperation for the event that Massa outclasses Kimi, yet again...?

I never recall any expectation of Massa dominating Schumacher at any track... this phenomina seems to have come about after Kimi failed to beat Massa on a fairly consistent basis...

It's not important what people expected 2006..important thing is what actually happened then: Massa were very good even compared to Michael at Bahrain, Turkey and Brazil.  Massa have been faster than Kimi in one single race this year and that race was at Bahrain and next race is at Turkey.

Massa out qualified Kimi in Oz, but both failed to do anything in the race.

Massa out qualified Kimi in Malaysia and on team orders, had to give up the win.

    Massa won in Bahrain

    Kimi won in Spain

Massa also admitted on Brazilian TV that he would have won in Brazil 2007 had it not been for team orders...

So, Kimi is not exactly delivering a whole lot of raw performance by Massa's standards...

What traits do Gemini's have that would relate to me?

I'm a Virgo, and this is what I found out about it:

"Virgo: You are blessed with an eye for detail that many would love to possess."

You're really clutching at straws if these are the examples of Massa 'outpacing' Kimi. Kimi had car failure in Aus, therefore was unable to set a competitive time in Q2, in Malaysia he ran heavier and used his superior race pace to leapfrog Massa. If it had been down to team orders why did Raikkonen set two consecutive fastest laps to jump Massa? Why should he have pushed so hard - maybe risking the car - if he knew that he would get the place anyway?

Why should team orders not be applied in a situation where only one driver can win the championship? - Brazil 07.

The only place this year where Massa has been demonstrably faster is Bahrain.

And Massa did beat Schumi at Turkey 06. Outqualified him then led from the front.
