You know I was feeling sorry for Kimi with his gearbox issues and all, then he went on his first run, I am sure at his first turn he was over 6 seconds up on Bourdais (it was crazy) then he was held up, but still more than 2 seonds up. Went on a second run and nobody cracked his time after that!

Yup, it was a good session, looking good for the rest of the weekend.  Well done also to DC, took a few scalps in that session.

Gotta agree with you there! I dearly hope we see him on the grid next year. F1 aint done with DC and Visa versa. He has a lot to to though for the rest of the season if he is to keep his seat. 

Considering Kimi only did about Three laps in the first session he was on the ball right from the off, it looked like Hamilton tried a glory lap with seconds to go, but it wasn't quite good enough, agree about DC too.

The Ferrari's look well hooked up, the McLarens seem a little ragged in places, particularly on the slower corners.

I know Kimi went slower on the softer compounds, but whatever he was on first, could Kimi have went faster? I am quite certain he was up over 6 seconds on Bourdais at the first turn, is there more in the tank for Kimi?

I think there's more to come, and I'm hopeful that's the case, we'll know better tomorrow, he's actually said he wasn't 100% happy with the car, he seemed to drive extremely smoothly to me.
