A Brave And Exciting Strategy
I think it was just that, and Hamilton's pace on the hard tyres and his pass on Massa were brilliant. Also the gap to Kimi has shrunk by two points. Good race.

Re: A Brave And Exciting Strategy
It certainly threw some spice in the mix. It may be a pain for the team and the driver but it sure makes it interesting for us!
What an enjoyable afternoon!

Re: A Brave And Exciting Strategy
Lewis and team made best of a strategy they were forced into by Bridgestone supplying tyres that suited the Ferraris but not the MacLarens.

As it turned out it seems that the strategy was pretty much forced upon them (from the comments from Dennis and Hamilton) but hey we had some enjoyable action as a result.

What hard evidence have you got to support this?. Also all teams know what tyres are available to them at the start of the season, what they need to do is get a good set-up to what is avaiable to ALL teams.
There are more than two teams in F1

What evidence have you got to question this? Ron Dennis and Lewis both said the samething. Lewis uses his tyres more than any other driver...people call it..not looking after his tyres, I call it 'likes to brun rubber'. He wanted to obviously burn some rubber today and best strat was a three stopper for him. Even when he got infront of Massa and got some time on him, i thought they could have reverted back to a two stopper, but they didnt and also the softs didnt work on Hamiltons car...he couldnt burn them up!

Oh!!, Ron & Lewis both said that the tyres only suited Ferrari, that's alright then. They wouldn't be biased at all!!, didn't hear much from any other team or driver saying the same thing about tyres only suiting Ferrari

Oh really? And how exactly did they accomplish this, I'm intrigued.

Though the strategy was mind blowing, I think it was more of Hamiltons drive. Last time I saw driving like that (not watch Senna on youtube) since I have been watch F1, I would have to say 1998-1999 Spa or something awesome awesome awesome?
And United won the title today...Sport has been beautiful today!!

To watch Lewis push on the hard tyres was great. As for Man U, i'm glad they won.

Re: A Brave And Exciting Strategy
Heikki seemed to make them last OK, and the last time I checked he was also driving a Mclaren. Lewis cannot manage his tyre attrition and that was the only reason he three-stopped - nothing to do with Bridgestone.

What do you mean cant manage his tyres? he managed his tyres pretty alright to me in Turkey, there was no evidence of tyre delapidation, even if he came in 5-7 las before Massa was it? All Lewis done was changed his senario, made sure he didnt have a repeat of last years incident and AGAIN drove the best race of his life....or the best drive since I say 1998-1999 dry weather racing!
THAT, performance was one of the reasons why I was hooked on F1 in the first place, that and hoping Mika would come back year after year but he didnt, however Hamilton has come in and relightened my passon for F1. Driving like that is all I ask for, one may not be able to win, but put on a good performance, overtake when you can...especially if car at time is lighter and faster, burn some rubber...and happy days!
I think i will watch this turkey race everyday till Monaco comes on...phenominal, awesome absolutely superior driving skills!
