Sitting here shocked and saddened at the news. When I did the WKTK my mates were Jack and Diane, 2 of my favourite characters in the show. Been watching Clive in Emmerdale for many, many years now, will miss him in the show.

My heartfelt condolensces to his family.

I have just read the sad news of the passing of Clive Hornby, such a lovely gentleman, he will be greatly missed by everyone.

My deepest sympathies goes out to his Family, may he rest in peace.

I don't think I'll ever forget Clive's performance during his covering up of Sarah's death and washing Andy down. He got an award for that Hero Of The Year at the British Soap Awards.

What an accolade to win. An award saying hero on it with his name across it.

Close to tears and cant believe its true.

I was so sad when i heard the terrible news. I actually had a tear in my eye.

Clive was a great actor and i really hope Emmerdale do a brilliant send off to him by giving him a great funeral a bit like EE did for Frank.

If emmerdale don't do anything i will be very disapointed.

I was so sad to hear the news of Clive Hornby's. it doesn't seem real. my thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time. I will truly miss on emmerdale.

I had noticed for a while that he hadn't looked well and thought that he hadn't got long to live so I wasn't surprised to hear of his death but I am very sad. 63 is far too soon and such talent.

 To all his family and friends...he will be missed and Emmerdale will never be quite the same.
