I can't believe this judgement!
I just can't help but think what would have happened if it had been Raikkonen cutting the chicane. I watched the GP2 race on saturday and a car was released from the pits right into the line of another car and he was penalised accordingly. So why didn't receive Massa receive the same penalty in Valencia?
I am F1 through-and-through but I always get the feeling that when a Ferrari is involved in an incident that requires third party council, there's this sense that 'oh well if we penalise them its going to cause loads of trouble and they'll kick up a fuss saying they're starting a new series with other manufacturers elsewhere' - so they get a light touch - a fine of some sort, which to punters like me and you means squat.
Despite obvious inconsistencies by the continually imcompetent stewards, I'm glad Massa won in Valencia because it was a brilliant race by him, and today Hamilton deserved that victory - he gave back the place that he did take illegally, but then retook the position, ducking and diving under Raikkonen - who by the way seemed to move more that once...
It is a truly shocking decision that to my mind only confirms that a higher power is at work in Formula 1. So what if the title goes close because of this ruling - I want the best guy to win on the day, we're not after a false and manipulated championship battle.
Today, Lewis Hamilton took the victory. That is all.
