harsh but fair in my book.

Lewis cut the chicane, gained sporting advantage, passed Raikkonen almost by default into La Source as he was carrying so much more speed up the pit straight, Raikkonen attempting to retake the lead after losing it to the dubious move damaged his front wing, then spun off the road whilst travelling in a straight line after Blanchimont, almost certainly helped along by an aero imbalance the collision with Lewis (who had passed unfairly, in my opinion at least) caused.

Put simply, if Lewis hadn't cut the chicane, Raikkonen would much less likely have spun off.

    Total fantasy!

What race was peasantburner watching? Or is he one of the stewards??

    o miller time o:

... but I'm willing to bet if you asked them privately about it they would agree with the overall feeling that this penalty is way, way too harsh for an incident in which no rules were broken!

Interesting point; I suspect you're right as far as Kimi is concerned because he's a racer and especially given that the penalty puts him even further behind Filipe.  However, if Filipe wins the championship by a mere hand full of points, I don't think you'll hear any turkeys voting for Christmas.

shocking !!!! disgusting !!!!!! a joke !!!!! ...... what other terms can we use to describe F1 and The FIA ?

i am going to bycott all F1 from now on, and i have been a huge fan for many many years.

we lived through the "Schuey" years, and now this, JUST STOP FIA !!!!!! your not doing this "sport" any favours. i honestly thought this year would be a clean fight, and the outcome would be from the racing, but NO, the suits have to mess it all  up again.

take care F1, it was fun, but the time has come to say goodbye.

Roflmao, another one who's joined the forum just to say goodbye!!!! I wonder how many would have if it was a subscription service.

What is non biased you say mmm who knows, I dont LOL seriously.

we all agree the great hammy was catching kimi quickly running up to the bus-stop, then he pulls to the outside of kimi at the entry and gets slightly ahead trying his usual and reckless overtaking moves, BUT unlike most ( Kovy) kimi decides to Defend his position which he was in titled to do, squeezes his car in the apex for right turn  then forcing hammy off who could have slowed down seeiyng kimi not giving up his position like a skippy(Kovy) and try to fight another day no he stay where he is and kimi forces him to leave the track which was done fairly and not dangerously Ive personally seen worst from hammy but that not the point.. so hamster takes the lead and then shortly slow down to let kimi go passed him but he remains beside kimi and crossing the finish line going 6k's slower... agree . Now leading to the braking zone for the first corner hamster was on the oustide or the ideal line and kimi in the inside so kimi who should have been given the lead decides to move to the ideal line to the entry of the corner but hamsters nose is in the way, kimi then moves again to the right  and again left  this time he gets there but hamster seeing this performance decides to stab to the right and outbrakes kimi to the corner and does fancy blocking techniques to stop kimi from passing him and the race goes on and on.

Well it doesnt take much to see what is wrong with "That" incident, and i mean if you compare it to Rules and Regulations.

if he decided to remain on the track he would have lost time and be some distance behind kimi and not close enough to perform any sort of successful pass move with that said he decided to remain course and ended up cutting the corner but only releasing kimi partially and placing himself in the ideal path for the next corner which as kimi was the lead should be entitled to if it was given to him and hamster who should have been given back to him as well as any advantage gained from cutting the corner, no this is not what happened hamster was on his tail waiting to jump at the opportunity that he knew was there before he even so called gave the place back.

well thats my take on things hope you enjoy foaming over this

Cheers and enjoy the rest of the season

Has anybody noticed though that whenever ferari do anything wrong, its always investigated 'after the race' so that nothing is done about it. When it is mclaren they get punished straight away.

Iff Massa had done what hamilton had done then nothing would have been done about it. it ridiculous. And im sick of it.

Personally, I don’t think the Ferrari vs McLaren thing is the only issue here.  Lets face it, Lewis Hamilton – a black man, has broken the stereo typical image of an F1 driver.  There, I’ve said it – like it or not. Like you didn’t notice.

For the first time in F1 history a black driver could be world champion.  I think the old school mentalities at the FIA can’t handle that prospect.  Judging by the response to what happened at Spa I think the vast majority of racing fans would be happy to see Lewis win the championship, all things being equal.

This whole incident just highlights how out of touch the FIA - aka the Bernie and Max show, really is.

It's been a week almost.. and i was thinking why you guys are being so offensive about the decision.

oh!! i get it now.. you guys seriously think Hamilton can't win WDC. You guys don't beleive Hamilton has got what it takes to be a Champion.

Look at KIMI on the other hand.. some 15+ points behing and he say's fight begins at Monza.  What a true Champion.
