I know that ITV have been making some drastic cuts recently so maybe that's why they've not re-comissioned Primeval? If that is the case, then maybe Channel 4 or BBC 1/2 could buy the rights (or whatever it is that's involved) to get it back onto our screens. That way ITV could make some money from the sale and we'd benefit by a new Series being made (even if it does end up on a new channel (so long as it's not Channel 5, lol))

Quite clearly there is scope for at least one more series, what with the idea that Sarah said she'd had, with Abby and Connor stuck in one time period and Danny stuck in another. I think it would be very unwise for any Channel to have left things so open ended in this way.

You can see by the way the series panned out and by the finale that Tim Haines and Adrian Hodges were reasonably confident that there would be a new Series when they'd written this Series.

So let's get Series 4 comissioned a.s.a.p. people.

As for season 4 I believe the economic crisis is affecting ITV as much as anyone else. They are forced to cut budgets but perhaps when it's over (and if the movie does well *fingers crossed*) the seasons will reopen. 

So long as we dont have to wait a matter of year(s) for the next series.

The Mrs and I cheered when we saw Helen get killed. But you could be right, Helen probably does have a clone.

In an earlier post, I saw that someone mentioned that the clone of Nick probably died aswell, but I think that it was Nick himself that died and not the clone as he was too cognitive to be a clone, if you remember his clone wasn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, lol.

i have just watched the whole of series 1-3 and must say i realy hope itv does make series 4

as i dont believe abby and conner are trapped ( because helen dropped the anomally opener before jumping)

i believe it was cutters that was killed 

itv if you are reading these plz plz plz make series 4 so we can find out the rest of what is happening

I am in most definatly, I have loved primeval since the beginning, apart from Doctor Who, it is the best Sci Fi programe ever, have got so many ideas for series 4, it should carry on from the end of series 3 with Danny finding the device that opens Anomilys witch Helen dropped getting him, Abbey and Conner all back home, Cladia Brown should somehow return and a clone of Helen witch she prepared just incase she was killed witch she set to activate at some point plus clones of Nick Cutter and Stephen Hart along with lots more historic and futureistic creatures and Preditors all causing havoc along the way, it would be brilliant, I love Primeval, I really hope they do do a series 4!! i feel sad that cutter died but i think danny is a better leader he is funny sarcasic and knows his stuff. jenny needs to come back. she was good at flirtin to get her own way accordin to cutter in series 2. there should be masses of annomolies opening and all types o dinosaurs come into the present world and they all fight but the team cant work by themselves and jenny end up comein back helpin danny conner abby becker and lester to fight contain and not talk bout the dinosaurs i love primeval plz tell ppl bout it ur  right more viewers means more chance of a series 4

I'd rather have a series 4 too, but i think there is hope for two reasons.

 1... How they have left it, with connor and abby in a tree in raptor world and then danny with the homnids, I wanted to no what happens next staright away when it finished.

2... They must think Primeval was getting good viewings if they are doing a movie.

I too have heard that this was the last series, undoubtedly due to profit.

Primeval is one of the few things I bother watching as most television isn’t worth switching on for – too many soaps and low cost reality television.

It is naïve to think that there will be another series simply because they didn’t finish the story lines.  Everybody obviously wants another one apart from the bean counters, and we all know (those old enough) what ‘they’ do to companies/projects.

The only reason I have joined this forum is in the hope that somebody from ITV is monitoring it to see what the public reaction is   …come on guys, put some investment in.

Perhaps we can hope that the yanks back it, BUT please don’t let them take control.  It was the end of Red Dwarf when that happened (my assumption for introducing some awful American with poor scripts spelling out the so called humour and satire).

And for the demographic research, I am a little over 40 (old git), male.  I suspect most of these posts are from younger people.  Primeval is enjoyed by all types!

primevil is back on itv2 on sunday nights so watch it and get everyone you know to watch it 

maybe just maybe if the viewing figures are high enough it will persuade itv to make it

so get watching and hopeing

oh yeah i had an idea like that but maybe no i dont think danny could find it its in the period abby and connor are in so abby and connor could open the anomaly to dany danny abby and connor go back through and they open 1 back home.
