I sometimes wonder what the hell we were doing going into a war that has absolutely nothing to do with us in this country.

No-one has thanked the British or Americans for making their country a better place to live in - its been fighting and criticism ever since.

My view is that yes go to war and let our soldiers run the risk of being killed IF there is a direct hit on England.  Other than that keep our forces at home.  Its not our war and we should not be risking our people to fight it for someone else.

the iraq war was wrong, when maggie thatcher sent our troops to the fauklands it was our war and we had to be in it, when our troops came home VICTORIOUS was wonderful, parades and parties. maggie was a hero somwhat like churchill, now blair on the other hand wanted the same and even sexed up need to go to war he to wanted to be a great leader but FAILED badly, our troops now suffer badly for blairs falsehoods.

not just the troops - we are all paying the price in the form of terrorism and extremism now rife in the UK

this war will only bring doom, gloom and life threatening danger to us, the british public. i understand why extremeists are the way they are though. when a countries government is sending troops to fight a worthless cause killing over 100,000 innocent people to bring law and order to a FREE land then would you want revenge for your brothers and sisters (thats what they see each other as because unlike us they are a family style community) who are been slaughtered for nothing?

in a way since iraq had no government. the taliban were the (unofficial) government afterall it was a free land before we came in and who are we to judge whats right and what wrong in someone elses country when we need to take a step back and look at ourselves first! our media run a mock, our government flaunts human rights yet there numerous things that prove every freedom u have is restricted and our prime minister is not a leader more a dictator. so as a matter of fact brown does infact rank up their with irans president and president mugabe - only difference is brown aint killing his own people (not inc troops)..... yet anyway!

and on the subject of iran, we are now underfire from them. whats worse for the british people is i actually do think they are still making a nuke and i can bet where is gonna drop too - london! sooner or later countries like iran, iraq, afghanistan, russia, china will just end up invading us and killing 100s of thousands of us to topple our government. our country is throwing its weight around thinking its the big guy - just a big bully and sooner or later like victims of bullying these countries will just end up giving us the devestation back.

i believe well get our commupence some day and we'll regret as a country even being involved in this. sounds bad but like pro death penalty folks say "an eye for an eye". same kinda thing 

You are so wrong Ash.  The day you can start to understand how extremists can kill innocent people as revenge is the day you should leave this country and go and live over there.

I disagree with us going into the war but for different reasons - simply because it is not our war.  However, there were 100,000's innocent people being killed in Iraq by the sadistic leaders that ruled the country therefore those lives would have been lost anyway.   I expect ultimately because of the wars peace will prevail and the Iranian and Iraqi people will be able to live without fear of being stoned to death or hands cut off or stupid biblical laws making their women's lives hell.

I dont believe we should have gone in to save these people but they are no worse off now than they would have been under the original extremist laws.

At the end of the day say what you like about our government but they are pussycats compareed to the torture other leaders put their people through physically, too vile to mention on these boards.

i do expect that reaction but it seems noone has the first idea how a war takes place. its not all one sided."oh my god they are blowing us up" why are they blowing us up? noone can answer that question their too ignorant. if someone smacks you across the face for no reason do you walk away? if someone is trying to kill you do you run away or do you fight? im not muslim, im not for/against muslims im not religious in any way shape or form. i serve no figment of my imagination or an idol. i have a basic human view that when you cause a war you get back what you saught tenfold. thats not coming from a religion thats coming from a human being who believes no matter what your intentions are you get back what you cause good or bad! 

i think the central point of this war is the fact we invaded them and we had no reason to be there for anything other than a power game and free oil. the torture and lack of human rights is the scapegoat to justify their actions i believe.

no they wont be worse off becuase of us entering you cant really get much worse than 100,000 dead. instead of them we are the ones worse off because we will be the invaders to extremists, the target not the friend and when were gone, they come out of hiding they'll just be back to square 1. brown will not get rid of terrorism in all forms because as sad as it sounds it is infact a way of life and has been for the last million years for the human race. 1 war whether started by us or not will not change that.

So why do so many of them want to come and live in England ? - and that's before any wars started.

If its so great living there why move - come here - and then start strying to change us and the laws of our country when its the laws of our country that beckoned happiness to them in the first place? 

When you join a new country whoever you are you accept all that they offer and the bits you dont like you dont try to change cos its not your place to do so.

the UK is a christian country, these people know this before they come in on the back of or under some lorry from across the channel, they know it's a good free country, so why do they want to change it???

 

Most dont come in on the back of a lorry and if you dont realise how our country is slowly changing then theres no hope is there - cos if the indiginous population can't see it - we might as well all live under Islamic law!

I prepare a resoned reply regarding the illegal war started by Blair and its effects on the safety of this Country and it was 'Deleted'.   The Home Office is not only allowing Muslims to have their own Parliment but also administer their own laws.   We have a defacto State within a State.   Under Islamic law a girl as young as 12 can be forcebly married to a much older man who may have other wives.   How can such a thing be allowed in this Country where bigamy and both forced and child marriage are illegal

That law will only come in if parliament allows muslim representatives to become mps who follow islam religion.  surely girls marrying at 12 and having mor than one wife would never be allowed in here anyway.

I thought there might be a law about the way they kill their animals Halal meat but apparently not.  So how come we are not allowed to be cruel to animals but they are?

because suzanna we invaded what 6 years ago? and today the country is unbeareable to live in. gordon brown must feel in their debt somehow for the mass devestation his war has caused. i think thats why they are coming into this country by the family load. it also explains why the government are so leniant with them been allowed here almost no questions asked. what gordon brown has made a critical mistake on is obviously letting families in who are not looking for peace but rather looking for revenge and thats the big problem with immigration from the east to the UK. until intelligence states otherwise every single middle eastern person/family who moves here are just as peace loving as the other 98% of the immigrated population we have. we should allow immigration but not at the expense where you could be risking the lives of 60 million innocent british people. if there is an even slight chance of an extremist being among the immigrated then all must be stopped. not to be racist but to protect the british people. that is one main thing they are there for - to keep us safe from invasion and terror and when they fail like they have by letting them in in the first place it makes you wonder are we really safe in our own country. thats the problem in this country with immigration from the east is not knowing whether they are safe or a dangerous mass murder plotter and you dont know until it either just before is scheduled to happen or its too late. that kind of danger should not be allowed period. stop it at its source! iradicate the threat and open the doors to this country by all means but all i say to the government is do not risk the lives of 60 million people by letting the wrong ones in!

The only way you can stop it 100% is to stop ALL immigrants from Mid eastern countries entering the UK.

No-one can sort out who the extremists are.

With Germany and Hitler we knew who our enemy was - we dont now - and the only way to protect us is to stop immigration from those countries that have a grudge against us.
