I didn't really think that much of him to be honest. Not a brilliant looker and not a brilliant actor ... sorry.

I looked him up as well and suddenly remembered him getting fresh with that woman out of Four Weddings, and then getting splatted by a lorry or something in that film Crush. It's all coming back to me now...

 also spotted a pic of him on Corrie with nothing on but a towel. Rarrrr!

My feelings exactly, after all the raving on about him on here, what a letdown! Decidedly ordinary in the looks department and nothing to write home about on the acting front either, and once again some pretty naff writing. No sign of how he got on the roof, spangly clean work clothes as another poster has written on another thread and diving in for a snog like that, well, what can I say?

'...pretty naff writing...' Awww, give the guy a break. He can only play the part as written (and directed). Lovely Kenny's not the writer, you can't knock him for the cheesy dialogue...

And only one episode in so far, I'm more than happy to watch him settle in. 

watching corrie AGAIN as I loved it sooooo much! i think, no I know I'm in love with jake aka kenny doughty! how dare they arrest him! what a cheeky sexy charmer!

 

BTW _ i like cider and flirtykitty - loved your comments for being sooooooooo wrong! he is gorgeous! fix my roof any day! if you've got better than him then good luck! ha! you should check a page on facebook that his pics and videos of him - he is sooo fit and talented! you'll see!

Well...I can see where some of the others are coming from - this Jake is a bit of a pantomime flirt so far - but this occasional daftness is what we've always loved about Corrie.

There's nothing wrong with a bit of primetime tittilation. And this Kenny's so very easy on the eye, after all. He's no kid either, he's been around so hopefully they've got plans to take this character somewhere interesting. Some kind of rivalry with the returning Keith Duffy?

 Off to bed now, thinking of Jake fluffing my pillows!

What part of 'pretty naff writing' did you not understand?? I never suggested that HE had wtritten his own part!

Who said this bloke was fit? Did you see those 'love handles' when he was in the Rovers wi' nowt but a towel? and a bit of a paunch........ Nah, he doesn't do it for me. However, if he want to treat me to a lobster dinner with champagne....

Yes....I'm with you roland rat.  I did think he was o.k until that shot of him wrapped in the towel walking out of the Rovers.  Wonder if Ciaran Mc Carthy is going to 'fall' for Michelle when he returns......seems like every male who walks the cobbles does !......well maybe apart from Norris and Ken Barlow......but there's still time for those storylines to happen !!!!!!!

That's what I thought Roland! I think we've come full circle back to the Pilsbury Dough Boy comments lol

I did like Liz's line about ringing the police if he dropped the towel 'not right away but soon after'
