Yes, and the film "The Hogfather" which Racer also mentions, good stuff.

But when it comes to fantasy books, f.eric, what I really love is Robin Hobb  -  the "Assassin", the "Liveship Trader" and the "Golden Fool" trilogies.  Then the "Soldier Son" trilogy, almost as good.  There is also a new series of two books, starting with "Dragon Keeper", looking forward to that.  In my opinion, she is the best fantasy writer since Tolkien.

Not that I knew any of those books, but the titles seem to give us an idea what attracted you to this forum Wink

Oh my goodness -  I hadn't realised it, but well spotted justrace!!!

Yes, the fighting and the deaths, fierce attacks, loyalties and betrayals, the idiots and the arguments, dreams and magic, the supreme fantasy  -  this forum has it all!!!!

    LOL justrace  Wink

    Re: Hi From ABU DHABI

Just curious as to why my post - mainly discussing Pratchett's books - but including a statement regarding racer 111's authenticity didn't get through, yet that of 'r1 racing' does? -  Not that I disagree with anything he said.   The same old inconsistency in the moderating.  Telling someone to 'bog off' (separate post) is not perrsonal abuse, but what I wrote is somehow?  Why bother even having the guidelines when they are so often misrepresented, ignored or posts are simply culled seemingly arbitrarily?

Why should the mods have to do that, just to satisfy you, r1_racing?  And in any case, I expect that sort of information is covered by privacy rules.  What is it with you anyway, why do you choose to spend so much time being annoyed and angry about these posts?  Surely if they offend you so much, you can find other ways of spending your time.

Whether they are fantasy or reality, some of us enjoy Racer's posts.  If you don't like them, don't bother reading them, it's your choice.  I find the monumental threads of the 'earodynamic' type very irritating, so I just don't read them.  Simples!!

If you find Racers posts informative, then I suggest you broaden your horizons in terms of motor Racing literature.

In terms of the IP look up the mods should comply for the following reasons:

    ·         To justify their existence

    ·         To settle the argument once and for all

    ·         To Expose Racer and his several aliases

Racer’s credentials (or lack of) have been exposed in other posts; my question to you is why are you defending him?

Surely these postings would only be amusing to a person of below average intelligence or an alias.

Sorry r1_racing, but if you are waiting for the mods to comply with your request for the reasons you give above, you'll be waiting for a very very long time - it ain't gonna happen, for any reason.

It's not correct to say that Racer's credentials, or lack of, have been exposed.  What has happened is that some posters have asked him to provide proof and he hasn't done so.  The reasons for this could be that 1. he has no proof because you are right and he's making it all up  2.  he hasn't worked out how to post a photo he has taken onto this site   3.  he hasn't got a camera  4.  he likes watching you get your kickers in a twist   5.  he can't be arsted  6.  some other reason entirely which I haven't thought of.

Why am I defending him?  Well obviously, I have the IQ of a bag of potatoes, and I'm an alias for the well known poster aka.

    Hi

P2 has just finished and it is now quite dark, but you would not believe it looking out onto the track, these lights are superb, far better than Singapore.

They are set higher of the ground and give a more natural light level.

They were on at the start and we did not notice the point when they took over from the daylight, we suddenly realised that the sky was dark.

As it got darker you did noticed the lights starting to glint of the cars paintwork.

Watched a few cars going through the tunnel and it looks like it is the first left hander that will cause the most trouble, one or two cars got a bit out of shape, they seem to be a lot smoother through the right hander, but still, it could be on Sunday when they are trying to trim those 1/10 of a second of their stops that we will see the real action.

Now all the lights are on the buildings and the marina, it is a bit like being at EPCOT after dark, all a bit surreal.

It is 19.00 hrs now, got a couple of hours work to do before we head back to the hotel.

Will try to get another post in tomorrow before P3

    Talk to you later

    Regards

    Yep you said it mate.

Oh and Pedekay and Racers last two posts 7 mins apart. Hardly a coincidence.

    @Pedekay.

Is not just his reluctance to provide evidence that exposed racer111.

There were inconsistencies in several aspects of his posts, like the time it takes an airplane to travel from point A to point B, Getting time zones completely wrong, posting images straight out of Google...to name but a few.

The man is a compulsive liar, feeding his fantasy world is only going to help deteriorate his mental health. What this guy needs is a severe dose of reality.. that and a god psychiatrist.

Cheers and thanks, Kris. Drinks  Though according to r1_racing, you should be calling me Racer111.  ROFL and LMAO about that one.

But as I guess we all keep saying on here, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Apply that reasoning to our posts... if you don't like them, then don't read them. Racer 111 is within his right to posts his fantasy from "X" F1 location Bull manure...We are within our rights to rip his posts apart and expose him as the liar that he is... Ok pumpkin?

If you actually enjoy his post I put it to you that you have a very low threshold of what constitutes informative entertainment.

Even the kindest hearted members of this forum now concede Racer is a liar.  Why are you justifying his bemused ramblings?

A lame attempt to describe the BBC red button coverage. You are not at the circuit and are not involved in any way shape or form.

You have no right to talk down or patronise people who have been following this sport for as long has you have been alive. And I for one find it offensive.

The “Musings” post would not trouble the average lower sixth form student; indeed they would be embarrassed to put their name to such low brow nonsense.
