Brilliant white, but no angel...
I'm sorry but after watching the so called builder nearly kill himself while working on Michelles roof I think I should point out that any one in the building trade that spends years training in an apprenticeship and then working further years out on sites building up a good rep' would most definately not then go and risk a sexual assault libal thrown at them by randomly kissing any gorgeous woman that they were suddenly alone in a room with. (life saved or not!) I know it's just a story line to introduce a character but his whiter than white vest and hooded sweater stank more of 'male model' than someone used to scrambling around roofs and mixing cement. I used to be in the building trade and fair play I met my fair share of stunning housewifes, but asking if they were married or single and then attacking them with a full on snog would probably have landed me with three weeks in the jail rather than a simple "get out!" yelled at me. As stunning as Kym Marsh is there's a line that a 'proffessional tradesman' wont cross for reasons explained. I felt as though this new character was rushed in, instead of a more believable build up storyline.

You make a very good point, I had never thought of that. All I could think of was how pathetic it all was.

Re: Brilliant white, but no angel...
just another unrealastic storyline from corrie showing how out of touch with the real world they are. i no its only a soap and not meant to be 100% accurate on real life but i agree that was a pathetic storyline involving a supposed qualifed experienced builder.

Why was he hanging from the roof in the first place, why didnt he just knock on the door? And doesnt the landlord have to give you notice that workmen are turning up. Daft. Just an excuse for him to see Michelle in the bath.

Re: Brilliant white, but no angel...
Can't understand why a 'tradesman' would turn up and climb a ladder to fix the roof with no safety helmet and no one holding the ladder at the bottom. Judging by the 'sparkling clean' white teeshirt he doesn't have much 'work' on at the moment.
Is it just me but what sort of mother would flounce around barely dressed if you knew that your teenage son's friend was coming to stay.

Michelle was looking out of the window for him before she went for a bath so she was expecting him, though you are right he should have knocked on the door first and inroduced himself.

Not sure if anyone else noticed this, but there was no ladder, well, not round the front anyway! If a stranger had snogged me like that he would have experienced my right knee right in the goolies!

Hopefully we'll get to see him get a little bit dirty soon enough!!

Now, I bet you wouldn't be saying that if it was one of the Wurzels who was aiming to play tonsil hockey with you. After all, they, as well as you, are 'cider drinkurrrs' so clearly there is some common ground from which to begin a meaningful relationship.#
PS if you don't know what I'm talking about you were born after 1978; if so, ignore this post.

Re: Brilliant white, but no angel...
Thanks for making this point, I just made a similar one myself on the current storylines site and I agree wholeheartedly. The roofer's behaviour was more suitable in a 'carry-on' movie not a prime-time soap which is supposed to at least have a nodding aquaintance with real life. Perhaps that is why the scripwriters thought better of it and had Michelle ring the police, which is what would most certainly happen in real life, however, even the police were being very tongue in cheek about it. Such tradesmen have a code of practice, the same as any other profession, and if they over step the line they will not only end up in court but be out of a job. In increasingly PC times this is just so 1970's.

I take your point abut the cider thing, and yes I was born pre 1978! However, I have had the misfortune to see the Wurzels and I really don't think I fancy a round of tonsil hockey with any of them either

If you mean the first time he turned up it fell over while he was on it. Michelle definitely fancies him as Liz, Kelly and Julie all spotted.

Well said buttercupgirl....don't think I can take much more of this it's almost as bad as the great Molly/ Kevin romance.......time to bring in some characters and storylines that we can believe in. Even that lady in the Kabin who never speaks is beginning to look more exciting than Michelle/ Jake !
