(maria and paul are at the bar chatting to liz)

maria - i used to like david, he used to be so nice - well to me anyway, but that was probably coz he fancied me!
paul - can't blame the lad for that. kisses her on the cheek.
liz - oh get a room! i just feel sorry for violet! and now frankie and warren are back...
paul - who's frankie and warren?
maria - well warren's his brother and frankie's his step-mum...
liz - (interupts) or ex lover.
paul - okay stop right there!
(liz's phone rings)
liz - hiya.....oh that's great news....okay i will do....alright bye.
(liz rings the bell)
liz - (announces to everyone in the pub) can i have everyone's attention please. i've just had a phone call from steve and he told me to tell you all that jamie's fine. he's in hospital now and is resting but apparently he'll be back in a couple of weeks.
(everyone starts talking)
paul - (to maria) wanna come back to mine?
maria - i don't think that's a good idea.
paul - gone off me?
maria - no you fool! jack and vera will be there for a start, and tyrone's my ex!
paul - fair enough. yours then?
maria - (smiles) if you insist!
