I don't see what the problem is with ITV's coverage last year. Sure they went a little Hamilton crazy but of course they did! 1) he's british and so is ITV and 2) he's the most successful rookie for a long LONG time. The whole world went Hamilton mad last year and I can understand why.
Plus what were the alternatives? Coulthard had countless reliability problems, Button had a shockingly bad car so didn't stand a chance of even a podium and Davidson, whilst showing strokes of genius was only ever going to achieve back end / mid success.
Plus with all the scandals surrounding Hamilton's team and team mate i think the coverage makes a lot of sense.
There's no such thing as unbiased coverage anyway. Coverage is there to meet the needs of the masses and the masses wanted to know about Hamilton, pure and simple.
F1 TV coverage will have to change in the next few years anyway. HDTV, Interactive, Pay per view, etc. It all has to happen if they want to keep the punters buying into F1.
