Have you seen the route in street view on Google Maps 
If not please try it it is impressive and takes you there!! 
 
(Google map, select street view, zoom in on the area of a stage, click on a blue highlighted street and enjoy!) 
 
Also quite liked the info on Polar website, link from le Tour site, but it seems to be a bit delayed
