So as we all know how much the FIA care about us normal fans - surely the only way to exert influence is to boycot F1 sponsors (especially those on the red cars) and then write to their PR departments telling them why you are boycotting them (focussing on words like "your", "competitor", "getting", "my" and "business").  Maybe F1 (in particular it's 2 elderly gents) will listen if the sponsors start getting upset / looking to spend their millions elsewhere.
