On a slightly different note, why do we keep seeing footage of Anthony Hamilton?????

There are far more interesting farthers, managers and people in the pit lane I'd rather look at and hear from than him. Like Nelson Piquet, Keke Rosberg and other past greats.

Because ITV-F1 are British, Hamilton is British...  That's it realy!  We see plenty of Massa's father!  Much like we saw plenty of Hakkinen's wife, DC's girlfriend (when he was at Mclaren) etc etc.  Do you honestly care that much about which fathers we see on our screens?

Yes, I am afraid I do....

why do we have to tolerate interviews with ham snr at the expense of driver interviews?

how many otrher drivers have the managers interviewed ?

when was the last intervioew with John  - Jens dad ?

we see massa dad & brother in the garage but we do not have to undergo the pain of listening to them and finally, by the way, as you well know I do not count ham as british any longer

Would you explain to me why you do not count Hamilton as British????!!!

I've seen several interviews with Jensen's dad - maybe if John Jensen was in the pit lane for every GP like Ham Snr and if Jensen was at the sharp end of the grid, you would see his mug on telly just as much as Anthony Hamilton's - would that make you happy?

I do not really want to see anyones daddy interviewed,  I know we saw Vettels dad on sunday - but he could not get away from the cameras quickly enough.  These drivers are fully adult males of the specie, who live, I would imagine full and fabulous lives and must be so embarrassed to have daddy interviwed on TV - apart from the ham family, who seem to glory in it, except when ham isn't winning ofcourse, then they are not where to be found.  And, by the way, John Jenson is in the pit lane frequently and just for the record Jens manager lives about 1.5 miles away from me and is never seen on TV.

No    I do not count ham as british any longer as he took his education, NHS medical treatment and all that entails along with his upbringing from this country of ours, then immediately he had a sign of any major income coming in he clears off to switzerland and takes his money with him.  He contributes nothing to this country that gave him all his chances.  How he has the nerve to stand under the british flag I do not know  and yes you can say that both Jens & DC have gone to live abroad but they did not do it before their first season was out, they at least, remained a reasonable amount of time before departing and still contribute greatly to UK charities, as does Alonso (who does live here).   Hamilton would not even take part in the charity tri-athlon back in July with Jens.  I have absolutely no respect for him what so ever

You really do have a strange ideal of what it is be British, I remember some hype being made about Jensen when he 1st came through he even made a program about being an F1 driver, i remember the praise being bestoed on him by Vicky Battler Anderson nobody complained then, Jensen was showing off about just what it took to make it in F1 How fit an F1 driver had to be and so on.  I don't think Jenson had as much media attention as Lewis has had and yes, partly because he is mixed race .  Your explanation as to why he is no longer British is just ridiculous! do you know that many of the F1 drivers don't actually live in their own countries?  I guess every British person who has ever lived abroad then falls under this as well?  Or does this only apply to lewis? if the argument is that he's not doing his bit by paying taxes you could then argue that the extra jobs, hard work that his father put in in order to get his son equipment has paid for it!

Sorry bsp, but that (the bit in bold) is funny.

I have no probs with Mr Hamilton being on the show. It is all part of the SHOW!

However pllleeeeaaaseee do not give me the "he held down 13 jobs and lived in

a cardboard box" routine to fund Lewis's career. He had only been karting 5 yrs

before Ron put up the squillions ( ever seen the 12yr old LH thanking his

McLaren mechanics for working on his kart!). I have seen lots of very

talented karters who have never got the money(including me!) to progress.

BUT that is motor racing and LH and AH grabbed the opportunity and have

    made the most of it!
