I have to agree with you on that score I keep wishing they would let him go his storylines always dominate the show and bring it down and really give young persons a bad name not all kids are bad.  Poor Gail I know she spoilt them but I don't think they deserve her as a mother if Eileen were they mother they wouldn't try that! She deserves a medal just for all that she has had to put up with and being forced to be single because of those two is atrocious and tragic and definitely not fair.
