    Jack Sugden-Farewell

I watched last nights' episode of Emmerdale - the funeral of Jack Sugden.  I was so moved that I am sending my first 'post'.  In my opinion Emmerdale is the best drama on T.V and the final scenes of Jack stood by his grave giving a last lovely smile will haunt me. It moved me to tears and I could not stop crying as the 'old' Emmerdale theme tune was played out and a tribute payed to the late Clive Hornby. I have not ever been moved in such a way and well done to the production team, writers and cast for a beautiful good-bye for a superb actor.  Jack Sugden (Clive) was a warm, strong, hard-working and loyal man with a golden smile and twinkling eyes.  He is going to be so missed and I personally feel like I have lost an uncle and cried on the phone to my mum today who said she did too. (We are not usually the crying types).  We need actors and characters like Jack who we can respect. We are lucky to have had Clive Hornby and he will always be remembered with warmth and love.  It was wonderful too seeing dignified  Annie Sugden back paying her respects.  A beautiful episode and a one off like the actor and character being laid to rest.
