I feel compelled to write a reply to your post. Baby P and indeed every child that suffers across the world is tragic, upsetting and uneccessary, however the human race that we have evolved into plays a prominant role in what is happening today. I am not religious but do care about what happens to my neighbours and people who I see struggling, I am willing to help and put myself out for them.
I have friends who work very, very hard within social services dealing with people who most would turn their nose up at. They have massive work loads and are frustrated at not being able to do the job properly due to extensive paperwork, lack of support and certainly lack of time to spend with the families and individuals in question, they are still passionate about the cause despite all the battles. As for murderers fooling highly trained and highly paid experts they were obviously cunning, manipulative and clever as my children quite often run with mucky faces and I think it shows they have enjoyed themselves,
If you were doing the job and you refused work until it was comfortable enough for you and everyone took the same attitude we may never find families in need at all. Children will always suffer and it would be a perfect world if everyone of them could be saved but everyone involved needs to act, teachers, doctors, neighbours, family and indeed absent parents ie mum or dad.
These highly 'trained' and highly 'trained experts' live in a different world. The doctor who was supposed to examine him would not because he was 'miserable and cranky'. Who wouldn't be,with broken back and (revious injuries'
before the sixty visits.) One social worker's report against sending Baby P back to mother and 'invisible' abusers was ignored. Your children with mucky faces were not on the so called 'danger list'. Baby P was. Look up Doncaster's record. Since Victoria Climbie changes never happened. Look up the appalling report on Aaron O'Neil, abused, since he was born and died at 3 months, by father of six with previous abuse record. Many visits to Newcastle hospital, including broken ribs, skull fractures, serious burns to face and hands. Don't you think that the first injuries diagnosed by the 'caring profession' should have sounded off the alarm bells? The second injuries? The third injuries? Social workers spend 80% of their time in front of computers. What the hell do the Ms Shoesmiths of this world actually
do to earn £100,000. Keep costs own now that there are 'Court fees' to pay before removel of abused children to foster parents? Who's side are they on?
