    gpringsx:
these are real turbelant times for f1,i wonder who will cave in first ferrari or mad Max

Do people really think this is about a budget cap?

    It's about contorol and power

If Max backs down then the Teams and the FOTA know they have control  of the sport, no repleacment concord agreemebt will be signed as without it the teams know they just have to threaten to quit and they can get what they want (assuming they agree) so the FOTA will have full control of the sport

If the teams back down (and this isn't just Ferrari) then they know they will have lost control of the sport.

So Burnie will be left bulling what little hair he has left out trying to protect his income and no-one willing to give way

Unless someone backs down (aka Ferrari last time a break away leage was talked about) then I think the FOTA will organise another breakaway which will be run by them and any income split between the teams, how many race tracks would be willing to sign an agreement? I would bet most of them and ironicly it would also alow Silverstone back!

At the end of the day both  options have pros and cons

FOTA will have better sporting regulations but fewer races

FIA will get more teams but will keep having Max and co making silly rule changes
