The "New" Bill is Excellent - Weldone ITV

Thank you ITV for realising what it is that we have been waitng for.  I have been a fan of The Bill since the very beginning, I suffered the hard times when it went to the 30 minute version (less said about that the better), I even said by goodbyes for a while, and am sorry to say i was reintroduced by Watch - sorry ITV.  But i am really glad i have returned to and old favourite, and the new look is fantastic.

I am reading lots of posts here saying we don't want a US look to our crime drama, well sorry you lot but wake up and smell the coffee, the US show are raking in the ratings, and it is about time we have something that can hit back hard.

The addition of music really adds to the atmosphere and creates the extra tension where needed - other shows figured this out years ago, but hey at least we got there in the end.

If you don't like the new look then you can watch the re-runs of your old favorite on Alibi - I think they must be up to about 1995 by now.

It is a shame the decision was made to get rid of Hollis and Stamp, and i am not sure that the show really benefits from their loss, but it is still early days.  I am glad you have retained the talents of Sam Callis and Alex Walkinshaw, us girls need some eye candy with attitude.  I can't wait to see where this can develope, and what the writters have in store for us eager fans.

Any remember all you grumpy folks, if you don't like no one is forcing you to watch it.
