I think that's the worst TV coverage of a football match I've ever seen. The half-time and full-time comments, the substitute information, everything was so amateurish. I hope ITV get their act together before the World Cup.

that was another shocking game from the celts im sick watching them play and not creating any chances mowbry is not the man 4 the job that is clear and the celtic board should cut out the penny pinching coz its costing us games and reputation we dont deserve to win games playin like that we need players with pace who can actually run as we r out of shape going forward

I think its wrong how itv have cut down on its boxing coverage, we've got great british fighters goin for world titles and a great fight tonight between carl froch and andre dirrell and itv have turned there noses up at them, really what do we pay our tv licsences for?????????????????// NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!!!

all good until thaxton v murrey fight ,what shocking refereeing i have ever seen ,i am not and have never been a fan of john thaxton but i feel sorry for him and his team and fans and all good boxing fans who like to watch a faire fight,i am discusted with the ref and even more discusted with barry mcguigan and jim rosenthal for supporting this behaviure,from the bell the ref was telling thaxton to mjind hus head going in but never at any time did the ref tell murrey about holding and pushiong thaxton down when he went in low, the was all murrey and this was shocking to watch on british tv

Tour of britain - where is the last stage on the ITV Player?

Why is the last stage not on the ITV player? Is this due to some rights issue or just that the system has failed to pick it up. I can't be the only person desparate to see the last stage that was relying on it here, so how do we get it added to the list.

Tour of Britain 2009 - terrible mess of metric/imperial units

I'm mostly enjoying the Tour of Britain 2009 coverage - there's a bunch of guys on there who will be big names in cycling in the coming years I'm sure.

However - could the commentary team PLEASE be asked to make their minds up over how to describe distances! Just choose imperial OR metric, not both at once - please? I know we live in the final country in Europe still using archaic units on our signposts, but cycling is an international sporting event. Those of us watching it are probably much the same people who watched the Tour de France back in the summer, and we didn't need it "helpfully" translated into miles and miles per hour for us then, and we don't now with the Tour of Britain!

A crowning glory was a couple of days back where we were told that the peleton had been doing 25 miles per hour over the last 40km! (Or very similar - you get the idea!). Other superbly incomprehensible facts have included "That's 56 miles covered, and 93km to go - see you after the break". <sigh>

Likewise, we get told that some 1st category climb is "2.3 miles" long. You just can't draw conclusions with stages in the other great road-races when you're saddled with facts like that! Mont Ventoux for instance is a 21km climb. How do we (or our 8yr old children sitting next to us) compare that with a "2.3 mile" climb. Is it a tenth? A fifth? No idea without a pocket calculator.

Please guys - enough with the helpful imperial conversions!! Everyone in this country under the age of 50 did everything in metric in school. You can assume we're familiar with it!

I'm sure we're not going to be told in the 2012 Olympics how fast Usain Bolt just ran the "109 yards, 1ft and 31/32nds inches" are we?

What do people think of Britain's chances in the Davis Cup this year? Murray is set to play our first match against Poland today, and although he suffered a wrist injury at the US Open, he says he hopes to be fit in time. He's done well in the singles in the Davis Cup in the past, but I think he might find the doubles a bit harder. Any predictions?

I am utterly disgusted that ITV has lost two matches per night, not only is this an insult to the licence paying public it shows that ITV still like to show THERE favourite teams instead of showing the teams that can play football. WHo the hell wants to watch Liverfoul apart from Liverfoul supporters, its lucky there are some DIY shows so I can watch paint drying. ITV need to wake up and get back the games before SKY ruin the game further and steal all the sport....

I'm watching the England match v Croatia and it's 42 minutes into the first half and England are 2 -0 up and outclassing Croatia.

However, the ever present negative dull irish tone of Jim Beglin is pathetic as usual. I'm actually a Liverpool fan and completely embarrased by his awful commentary.

Surely, ITV have someone better than this prat. Anyone is better than him. Every game he covers, he just fills the whole match with his pathetic comments that do nothing but diminish the viewing pleasure.

Get rid of him, he's ***useless.

I have just watched one of the most incredible matches, between Chelsea and Liverpool, ever seen. As a neutral it was just great to WATCH. But to listen to was another matter entirely. Is it just me, or does this bloke with his constant inane drivel spoil it for other people as well?

He is the only commentator for whom I have to consistantly turn off the sound at regular intervals, because he gets me so wound up. Surely, surely there must be better out there. Please ITV give them a chance and get rid of this absolute game spoiler. Thank you.

Wimbledon - Brit Failure to Perform

So, once again we are left virtually Brit-less at Wimbledon.

Could one of the reasons be the elitism and snobbery of tennis? A few years ago, I decided, as part of a keep fit campaign, to join a tennis club. It was not a pleasant experience. It was very cliquey and not particularly welcoming, I was asked endlessly what I did as a job - and being a teacher didn´t seem to quite cut it socially!!

It was compulsory to wear white at all times and eyes were cast up and down your tennis gear appraising, presumably, approximate cost!!

I atopped going after a couple of months, it was evident that what was important was not sport but social connections. So imagine a kid - excellent athleticism, excellent hand/eye coordination, agile and fit - the ideal tennis player - but woe betide that same kid if they don´t come from the "right" background!!

The FA Respect Campaign needs a bit more substantial support if it's going to have any chance of success.

So taking a look at the performance of the Man Utd players, and that bastion of courtesy and fair play, Alex Ferguson, is it any wonder that it's never going to have the desired effect.

Add to that, ITV's Andy Townsend's limp response to the Jon Rosenthal's fair question about the actions of the players and the manager, that it: 'wasn't a problem at all' and you can see why it's had no impact on the main clubs.

ITV needs to get in tune with the majority of the sporting and general public in addressing this lack of respect for the officials, and employ a pundit who doesn't go for a drink with the rest of the old lags, is from a generation where all this was acceptable, and is afraid of stating the truth.

As the great Sir Bobby Robson said: 'some people need to learn how to lose with grace.'

sporting event in london

What a clever idea this is eh, hold a major sporting event in london's east end, shut 2 out of 3 of the main a13 then only put signs near where the road closure is and then close other roads around london and bring the capital to a standstill! brilliant eh??? Londons road networks struggle at best of times so god only knows who had this brilliant idea. As a result, my usual trip from southend to home, that usually takes bout hour and a half, took near on four!

I have never used a forum or made a complaint before but itv4 boxing on sat 18/07/2009 was a circus with a big brother contestant against a non boxer it ruined what was upto that point a great night of boxing. it is no wonder more and more people are turning to mixed martial arts.Boxing was something i was proud of itv you should be ashamed
