what a farce and a con. your put on the new deal programme to get work experience via job placements, this means they sign you off unemployement and you spend 6 hours a day doing job search and various other activities, if your lucky enough to get a job placement and a job at the end of it then great, but in reality this rarley happens. you are given an extra £15.00 per week and if you use public transport for the week you get all bar the first £4.00 back which knocks the £15.00 down to £11.00. once you finish the program which can be from 13 to 26 weeks long you have to reclaim unemployement going through all the rigmarol and stress when your not off unemployement effectively, it just keeps the unemployement numbers down then to add insult to injury they totally mess everything up money doesnt go in the bank and you have to start all over again filling in form after form. surely it would be more benificial to open up the skill centres that used to be and teach new trades to the unemployed instead of paying private organisations who in my opinion couldnt give a stuff as long as they are paid. I think the government should buck their ideas up a bit and get things moving the skill centres used to do a great job in retraining and getting people employed.

WOW, i have to say i have just watched 5 minutes of the NEW KATY BRAND show and that was enough for me and my friends as its not funny at all ,because that should not be shown on tv ,it is not funny at all, the only thing we come up with is that the actors must know the ownewrs of itv , very very poor 1 out of ten for effort chapps. keep up with the crapp, what do you think all?

Maybe I am being pedantic (?) but did anyone else notice the incorrect spelling of "Principle" as in Headteacher on today's programme as a subtitle. It should have been Principal!! - although I dare say that this man does have principles, his principal role is that of a teacher and therefore I am sure he would not have been very impressed!

Why have ITV1 and ITV3 been removed from the latest list of free channels on TV? I used to tape all my favourite programmes from these channels but when I did my latest DXB update on my Panasonic TV yesterday I noticed that these channels are no longer available!

I am fed up to the back teeth of the ITV digital teletext service being SOOOOOO slow & also it very frequently freezes, it did that this morning & the only way I could get out of it was by turning my tv off at the plug then turning it back on again (this happens quite often) it's the ONLY teletext service that has these problems, I don't have any problem with BBCi, please sort it out once & for all ITV, and soon!

Am I alone in thinking that ITV1 game shows are encouraging a culture of greed and dishonesty. I find Golden Balls terrible, encouraging people to cheat and lie for money.

The latest offering Divided is even worse, to win anything a contestant must declare themselves as superior their oponents and then encourage one or the other to accept that they are less deserving of the prize on offer. Who decides that the share out of prize money should be so lop sided that nobody is prepared to accept the lowest value. The result is that the prize money dwindles while contestants argue.

Add these awful shows to Biggest Loser, where contestants are expected to vote off oponents often reducing them to tears and the afternoon is over.

Who dreams up these shows, has ITV taken on a Thatcherite with the brief to design shows where only the greedy can win and everybody else is automatically a loser. I now automatically switch channels once Dickinsons Real Deal finishes.

Thank goodness for other channels where we can still watch progammes such as Countdown and The Weakest Link which entertain without reducing contestants to grovelling to retain their place and cheating to win.

I was very pleased to hear Kenneth Brannagh say that he has been nominated for a BAFTA for his portrail of Kurt Wallender in the recent T.V. series. He made the programme compelling viewing for me. He is a wonderful actor. I was also pleased to see on the A.T. Show, how much younger & healthier K.B.looked. As opposed to the world-weary T.V. Detective Wallander.

Hi all,

I'm hoping you guys and gals can be of some help to us. We have made a little short intro to a series we are hoping to get off the ground here in the UK. We have had a bit of interest so far but we are hoping to get as much interest about the project as possible.

It was written by Dean Kavanah, Irvine Welsh (Trianspotting) writing partner. It stars Jonathan Owen who recently starred along side Katie Brand in ITV4's GOOD ARROWS

The more interest we get the better chance we have of gettting some commissions to make it into a series.

It's a shame that when the media present programmes examining ghosts, paranormal behaviour - or as in this case - Helen Duncan, the famous psychic, the final analysis is always to imply it's all bunkum! This programme was no exception.

Robinson got a number of facts wrong. 'I'm going to a seance.' No Tony! A visit to the local Spititualist Church to hear a medium ' On The Platform' - which you did - isn't a seance!! Do your research! (:@)

Secondly. He says, near the end of the programme 'Well we've managed to establish that Helen Duncan was faking it ' No Tony! You established a number of ways she might have been faking and a number of ways she may not have been. Bias or what?

Helen Duncan was that very rare type of psychic called a 'Materialistic Medium' She could allegedly make spirits appear in solid form. If Robinson and his crew had gone to see and experienced a Materialistic Medium at work that would have been an OBJECTIVE assessment. But - not knowing their subject? - they didn't.

Finally, that stupid parlour trick created by the expert psychologist ( God save me from experts!) did not prove anything remotely connected with what Helen Duncan could allegedly perform.

All in all a poorly researched and bias production.

As BEAT: LIFE ON THE STREET is one of many programmes partly funded by the home office where home office officials are allowed to view second edits of the programmes to suggest changes to the “terminology” and “language” used in the narration shouldn’t it be advertised as maybe a government public information film?.

Surely as this is a government funded programme about government policy namely community police officers I think we can be sure it will show how well governments policy’s work, therefore using tax payers money to fund programmes that manipulate our view of the government.

I know what our government call the Russian/Chinese government funded tv programmes.
