How many votes can an automated telephone voting system handle per second or per minute, and what company provides ITV with the telephone voting sytem or do they do it in house. Can a phone voting system handle 10 million votes in 10 minutes? and process the results?

Not an actual 'replica' per se, but something close to it. In a nutshell, I want three buzzers (that sound like buzzers), that has a button so when you push down on it it makes a noise. I also want three red x's to be made somehow.

After watching the programm last night,I am amazed that John and Edward got to the 2nd live show at all! My only consoling thought was that the song and routine were deliberately given to this pair to give a wake up call to all those that voted them back last week! They sang totally out of tune and danced out of time with the music.They looked so retro in their costumes the it wouldnt have looked out of place on an Austin Powers film set! In fact,I have seen better performances from a local amateur dramatic society!

They may be young and cute and to some people funny(this latter aspex,I find perplexing as I fail to see how) but when compared to the other contestants they are not worth the cost of a vote.Lets see the back of them this week and give true REAL talent a chance to shine.After all,isnt that what this shows all about??

Simon, I am posting this in the, probably, vain hope that you or one of you people will read some of the forum comments about your fantastic show. Last year you were man enough to stand up and announce that your team had made a mistake and had changed your minds about one the acts.

I respectfully and strongly advise you to review your decision not to put Lauren Medway through to the semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent.

She appeared in the More Britain's Got Talent on 3rd May. She was only aired for about 30 seconds and Amanda, Piers and yourself were seen to give her 3 yes votes and the presenter said the judges were "blown away".

I am her grand-father and as a family we have been contacted by many people, including some from overseas, asking why she wasn't on the main BGT programme. Lots of interest has come from just that 30 seconds on your secondary show.

I really feel that you have missed an opportunity to, lucratively, promote a star of the future (sorry about the cliché).

Since her audition on BGT she has been entered in the Live & Unsigned competition and she has made it to the National Grand Final (The last 15 from an entry of 10,000).

Ged Doherty has been down to the west country personally to see her and two other acts and told my daughter and her husband that if they thought that Lauren would be able to handle the pressure that he would be interested in her.

Of the many e-mails and phone calls that my family have received since her brief appearanve on BGMT the one I am posting below is quite representitive ...........

"Please, Please, Please can we see more of your lovely little girl who had a beautiful voice on Britain’s Got More Talent?

What a little star of the future! I really don’t think that they showed enough of her singing on the show. The host said that she blew the judges away and sailed through to the next auditions. So why can’t the nation see what they saw? They should of shown their comments, because they must have been good if she sailed through to the next round. She deserves to be put on the real show that is on in the early part of the evening. It only seems that you get somewhere or get to see all the comments if they have some story to back up their talent. You little girl seems to be on there because she is truly talented and gets put on the second rate show. Go on do the nation a favour, and lets see more of her!!!!!"

Huge Huge Thank You to all the staff there today (thurs 29th nov) We had a great time today, an experience thats never gonna be forgotten. The atmosphere was fantastic and my daughter was really chilled thanx to the unsung staff that were running around getting people organized. Watched as they were approached by countless people(daughter was 1 of them) and they genuinely seemed like they wanted to help and answer questions. Made us realise that watching these shows on telly we never take into consideration all the amazing people in the background who in all honesty get the stars to the final stages, so from a VERY grateful mum and daughter, we're raising a glass to everyone at the Hippodrome today. And to all the staff at the other venues too.

To anyone who is interested, possibily surijo, I have found out what I was looking for. The bgt show I was asking about was the pilot show. The show was not taken up at the time, and appeared about a year later with its format changed, owing I believe, to the American influence.

My partner and I saw the Britains Got Talent Show Tour at the NIA last night and thought it was absolutely brilliant! All the singers had definitely improved and we loved Diversity and Flawless, thought it was great that they put some of the acts together too, definitely a great night out!

i have just seen the live tour fantastic night but was spoilt for me by the family of stavros flatley who i was sat behind.they have obviosly seen the show many times and were getting bored .i was unable to see some of the acts for them standing up and blocking my view.okay so your husband and son are famous for a while so get of the gravy train.they were one of my favourite acts but that has now been spoilt.

I need help please. Before BGT was shown in it present format, was there a series of weekly shows, whereby the acts were shown without the "silly bits", and the winner was voted for by the audience ( I think )? The winner each week got £ 10,000. I think the first winner was a young girl with a blue merle collie doing a "dance" routine.I am hoping someone can confirm this, otherwise I shall think that I am going off my trolley.

Am I the only person in the world that thought that Holly Steel completely faked the tears in the semi final. She came accross as a real spoilt stage school brat and it was so obvious that the people would fall for it and vote for her because they felt sorry for her and thought she was so brave. I for one did not fall for it. Neither did my 7 year old daughter, she said to me " I can fake cry better than that".

Hey there

I stumbled across this site called Noostar and I think its brilliant. Anyone who liked Britain's got talent should check it out. I'm in a band and was trying to get on BGT and found that this was the next best thing. An online version of course but loads of different varieties from dance, music, magic to circus! It's great fun and a really cool place to see some emerging talent. Anyone agree? Maybe this is the next stage in our obsession with celebrity status.. just a thought. What an inspiration!!! Susan Boyle does not need to change a hair, or anything else about herself unless SHE wants to do so. If I were blind, that wonderful voice would still pull at my heart strings. But to SEE her as well, with the perfection of styling and delivery that shines from this lovely, humble woman; well, this is a once in a lifetime experience. In all of my 71 years, no performer has EVER brought up the emotion in me the way Susan did, and continues to do. I have never taken the time, or been interested enough, to do what I am doing right now, which is to write about a performer. I have never been a "fan" of anyone. I am happy that I am able to experience Susan Boyle in my lifetime. I do hope for Susans' continued success, and pray for her well being. Best advice--Pace yourself Susan; don't let yourself be pressured into doing something you are not ready for. You are a wonderfully successful person just as you are. There is not another thing that you need to do to "make your mother proud". I just know that she already is. Best regards, Shadow304

Sure she was given a chance to redeem herself so that she could look back and be proud but the biggest point and most important point to make is that the Producers and her mother were PREPARED to take that choice and gamble. They didnt know, no-one knew, whether in fact Hollie would become anxious, upset and frightened again - it so easily could have gone the other way.

If she had suffered a second bout then that probably would have finished her career before it even started.

The producers and her parents gambled, they won but could have lost. I wouldnt have taken that chance if it were my child - kids are vulnerable and cant take knockbacks like adults can - so I really believe she should not have gone back on.

Explaining to Hollie she could have another bash next year would have been sufficient and just the fact that she reached the final against stiff competition means her classmates and everyone who knows her would be giving her positive feedback. It wont stop anyone who wants to bully her for crying the first time anyway - bullies are cowards and will pick on her first performance not her second.

The host who gave the phone number to call to vote for Susan Boyle said "if you think Susan Boyle should win....call 090 "triple 1" 3222 etc (0901113222 etc). The number to call was 090 11 3222 etc. I often depend on audio as I'm dyslexic. Could this slip up have affected the vote?
