The soprano sax is second, is a straight sax (although curved soprano saxes are made) and is played through a single reed attached by a ligature to the black mouthpiece.

The english horn/cor anglais is completely different in terms of looks (wooden, usually black, bulbous bell and has a curved crook besides different key systems etc.) and is played through a double reed. Basically a large oboe. Sounds completely different. PICTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: THE GUY WITH THE SAXAPHONE

It's a Soprano Saxophone, which he stated in his first audition. So yes it is a saxophone and yes he is extremely talented.

Re: THE GUY WITH THE SAXAPHONE

It was a Soprano Sax!

Re: THE GUY WITH THE SAXAPHONE

Julian Smith was good in my opinion and did well to get into the top three. He looked a bit scruffy tho imo, i mean it was the final and everyone else had dressed up and he had the benny from crossroads knitted hat, unshaven and looked like he couldn't be bothered, even though he told us at every opporunity it was his "last chance".

THE GUY WITH THE SAXAPHONE

You are not telling me that he was playing a saxaphone, that is supposed to curl at the end and is played by blowing through reeds, to me it was an english horn.

How can Britains Got Talent get away with saying he was playing a saxaphone when it was most obvious that it was not. So the guy hasnt got much talent then has he?
