Before BGT was shown in it present format, was there a series of weekly shows, whereby the acts were shown without the "silly bits", and the winner was voted for by the audience ( I think )? The winner each week got £ 10,000. I think the first winner was a young girl with a blue merle collie doing a "dance" routine.I am hoping someone can confirm this, otherwise I shall think that I am going off my trolley.<br>
