Just a quick message to say there is a campaign running to get the Boyzone song No Matter What into the charts this weekend as a tribute to Stephen. If you are a fan or just think it is a shame that he died so young then please download the single - No Matter What from the By Request album. Obviously, I realise not everyone on here will be a fan but for those that are, I hope you can help!

Who cares if he is or isn't bisexual?! What does his sexuality have to do with his ability to sing?!

Dannii should offer a public apology at the very least, or maybe even be taken off the show.

xfactor audition process slightly unfair..

I use to be a big supporter of the X-factor, i saw i as an amazing opporunity for talented artists of all shapes,sizes,ages,races to shine. But once witnessing the audition process , my view is very tainted. the way x-factor builds up thousands of people hopes, and then drops them in a way so blunt and disheartening = not right. i dont think its right for the x-factor to be billed as a talent show, if its going to neglect those with talent, its gives off an impression that if you dont get through, your not talented! and when allowing people from the age of 16 to apply, things like that can be VERY,VERY disheartening. God forbid they continued doing it to the poor 14 yr olds. some people train like hell, buy new outfits, even try and loose weight for things like this, and the way its handelled and just filtered through is innappropriate to me, people put so much effort in it, to not even get a decent 10 second explanation as to why they dont get through. which in the producers words would be nothing too inspiring or constructive as they dont know anything about singing!. and 10 seconds would in no way let the process that much longer. if they had more record industry reps more than 2 out of 20 producers, maybe alot more talent would hit the TV. or if opposite people getting rejectd would understand a little more why. because when you've sung your heart out and you're told NO, you are going to wonder a thousand thing, whether or not you can sing, whether or not they just wanted something different, whether your too ugly, too fin, too fat. i know for a fact in this industry rejection, but usually o comes with constructive criticism. Not saying the x-factor producers need to give detailed feedback, but a sentence would'nt hurt, and neither would more musically trained judges.

TV Research into providing a show for fans and others Please share the following as I need as much feedback as possible OK, here goes, its along shot but we are doing it. - Ive been doing the Young voices Studio Site for a long time and have seen many young talents through all media. However (correct me please if wrong),

i have noticed that many young british actors/Talents appearing in shows outside UK but hardly in UK, also not many USA Stars appearing in UK shows either, so I plan to sort this out. Based on past formats to create a new format for a new show.

My idea is to feature a family entertainment show which will have live performances, interviews and other features. Main ideas are to provide a platform for new, current talent, from say winners of Britains got talent to Libera, film and TV, all ages featured. It would also be a way to find out what your fav star is doing, ie reason from what I know is that many stars will appear on USA TV 10 times before appearing on UK TV (also includes UK Stars), we also never hears whats happening till too late.

What a wonderful person she is, no wonder she is exhausted.

Susan has come from a very quiet part of the country and has had fame thrown at her by the initial win, then the press were very unkind to her and about her, now all of a sudden she is the best thing since 'Sliced Bread'.

No wonder she has broken down temporarily, also she is not too proud to let her very normal feelings be known. Bless her heart she needs rest from all forms of media, she is not used to it and why should she be ?

Give her a chance all of you out there.

I have no doubt that after a good rest she will 'Step up to the Plate' and astound all of you, she has a fantastic voice, but lacks a little confidence, possibly she has only done, what we have all done in our pasts', and that is to sing to her 'hairbrush' pretending its a mic. I know I did it many many years ago.

Please give her time, its all she needs and a lot of TLC, and decent advice and perhaps a bit of counselling to raise her self confidence, and self esteem, which I am sure she is getting now, hopefully.

Susan, we have something in common, lacking self confidence, I couldn't have done what you did, go for it girl, amaze them all. You can, I know you can, you enjoyed singing to everyone that was obvious, keep singing, its your happiest time.

i dont really know alot of forums, but i feel the heavy need to try somewere!, i was very unwell about 7 or 8 yrs ago, and was in a mental hospital, since then i was told i was a skitafrenic (sorry bout my terrible spelling by the way) and bipolar, and i was left to belave this for the best part of 8 years! since moving areahs i have been told that im non of them things, ive just got split personality disorder, i was left to suffer this for 8 yrs with absolutly noo help from anyone, im only just strating to get the help i should have had years ago..im now 27yrs old, ive lost best part of my life and they havent even said sorry! i could have been at work for years by now...but instead they ignored me and just allowed me to suffer on tablets i didnt need to be on!....

were do i go now?

what on earth is Ant and Dec supposed to be contributing to the show, I understand they play a role in the pre audition chat with the auditionees... but to have their faces and silly remarks every few seconds during the acts is totally unnecessary.. we are subjected to more of Ant and Dec than the actualy acts... come on, enough is enough... the previous Talent shows have been really great, why spoil it by changing it to a Ant & Dec show with a little of Britain got Talent thrown in.... even the judges take second place to the duo... please, allow us to watch the acts through without having Ant & Dec's faces flashed in front of us every couple of seconds....

does anyone know if cheryl is ok because the other day when the judges were on the xtra factor she didn't look happy and she looks really down. i wonder whether it is just the pressure or whether there is something wrong with her because i would of expected her to be happy as she still has three acts left in

This show and the format have now become predictable to the point of boredom. I had never realised that so many British people could produce tears at the drop of a hat for no good reason. The same old mantras, 110%, please tell them that there is only a maximum of 100%. Another, 'this is my life' , no its not, get a life, everyone likes to sing even badly to themselves. Please no more sob stories. It has become a total cringe to listen to them. Poor Cheryl Cole is totally without charisma, incredibly pretty, but a desparately dull young woman. She appears unable to string an articulate sentence together. Danni M has at least some personality with a modicom of intelligence thrown in. The Peter Kay parody on Ch4 said it all. Please take this show to ITV4 permanently

I understand that being a Judge on the X factor is hard work but I must say I disagree with Cheryl saying no to Hannah. I understand that Cheryl had a hard decision and did what she thought best but the show is about talent and Hannah had one of the strongest voices out of the finalists and she was unique. Could we have a Public vote for the 12 that did not get through to give the public a chance to get one back that they really liked. All the girls currently deployed in Basrah watch the show whenever we can we just want to say BRING BACK HANNAH!

X-Factor boot camp part two

The first half of this show was glorious, with more melt-downs than an iron-forging plant. Hideous, cringingly embarrassing and glorious! Loved it! But in all seriousness, there are some very, very good acts this year. Whilst last year I thought the show had peaked and was now into a major nose-dive, it seems I was wrong and the game has been well and truly raised. Currently, I'm favouring little Owen as a potential winner but, frankly, I think there's such a pool of talent that it's impossible to really place any bets just now.

I'm also loving watching Lord Cowell salivate over the Spanish beauty who made his engine purr when she opened her final boot camp audition by singing in Spanish - genious! His eyes positively ravished her as she sasheyed off stage. No wonder she was put through!

But I do have a serious concern; so many of the people we have seen at Boot Camp have expressed such desperation that I worry how they will cope with failure. They all seem to believe that X-Factor is the only way they will ever succeed as singers, which is nonsense of course. The passion borders on desperation and I find myself wondering how long it will be before we hear about the first X-Factor suicide? Some of these entrants are very young, and are not necessarily emotionally equipped to deal with the rejection and despair. So many contestants talk as though their lives will be over if they fail. Their angst is so powerful you can almost reach out and grasp it within your own hands and feel it's intensity. I wonder whether there are counsellors employed by the programme to give these people support? If not, there ought to be. I am a counsellor and I do believe it would be useful.

If you are a contestant reading this: your life is NOT over because you didn't get further. You have not failed. Most important of all, the programme is not your only hope of achieving your dreams. What do you think singers did before the rise of the T.V. talent show? Get yourself out there working the clubs, hotels, pubs, cruiseships, private functions, whatever it takes. Send your CD's off to record companies, busk on street corners in the big cities. Do what you have to do and keep believing. Because if it's meant to be, then not winning X-Factor isn't going to change that!

last day of auditions!

It's boo-hoo time for me as I'm forced to let go of my most cherished weekend entertainment - Freak Factor. Currently, I'm utterly loving the "performance" by Alan wowing the judges with his Black or White rendition. Bless him, he really wants to be a singer. How in the name of God is he going to accept that this will only happen if Hell freezes over - and even then it's highly unlikely.

It's been an absolute joy to sit back and relish the weeks of triumph and tears as dreams have been paraded conveyor-belt style before the judges to be verified or vilified, often on a whim. It's been so hard watching people's hopes destroyed, just as it's been wonderful to watch those who have gone on to the next stage. It's impossible not to share in the sorrow or the delight. I've shed bucketloads of tears, jumped for joy, or sniggered cruelly, depending upon which poor, desperate soul was currently being exposed to the entire nation as brilliant, special, diabolical or indescribably sad and deluded.

And then there were the judges. Where was the consistancy? The fairness? Why should the dreams and ambitions of thousands of people rest with the moods of four ego-fuelled people, rather than on a clear, structured set of rules and standards? Today, for instance, 66 year old Granny Gang Bang was put through for heaven only knows what silly reason whilst Two-Tone, a couple of young lads both with potentially very good voices and merely in need of a few lessons in how to duet properly, were turned down. Where is the logic or consistancy in that?

But now I can face the future, albeit without the wonderful freaks and wierdo's, by watching the masses of squirming desperado's struggling for survival against the handful of real, hopeful talent for a place in the final. Sadly, those put through because the judges found them funny/cute/brave/interesting whilst lacking sufficient talent to go any further, will now have their hearts broken after an unnecessary prolonged wait. The rest will go through to entertain us, live, over the next few months and we, in turn, will find our favourites, establish bonds and empathy, and finally get our chance to scream our approval/disapproval in the final episode. And, for the lucky winner, there will then follow a brief period of adulation, radio/t.v/magazine interviews, appearance in their home town and Christmas number one - followed, most probably, by disappearance into the black, black hole by which countless winners of similar talents shows have been consumed, never to be seen again. Tee Hee. can't wait!

I am going to see the X Factor tour in March and i was wondering if anyone knows the name of the company that organise the tour? The reason is becuase i would like to ask them if it would be possible to ask one of the acts on the show to read out a message for my mum. If anyone has any information i would be very greatful!
