No contest! Talented Bradley Walsh, good everyday members of the public contestants (excepting those annoying serial quizzers), good general knowledge questions, no audience .v...untalented (on television) Austin Healey, freak 'come on down' contestants, subject selection questions, whooping and screaming - I turned it off after the first five minutes on Monday! ITV should change their policy and consider accepting programme ideas from quiz production companies and the general public?

Improving Goldenballs: Split, Steal, Block

Firstly I would like to state that I love the current Goldenballs format, money, greed, psychology and loyalty all in the mix. I would not change the opening rounds at all, I think they are very balanced. For me, choosing the money to win is not skill based enough in the final round but it works well enough. The major change I would make is at the very end of the programme, concerning split or steal.

As it stands, it is a strong part of the programme, simple yet tense. I would sacrifice some of the simplicity for a degree of skill, and an out for the honest player. Currently, many players claim,

"I stole because I knew you were going to steal."

For many this is a cover for their true intentions but there is a real issue there. If a player knows his opponent will "steal", the best outcome for him/her is for both players to walk away with nothing.

I would remove both these outcomes.

In the last round three options should be given: Split, Steal or Block. The current split and steal scenarios would remain exactly the same. However, if one player suspects the other will "steal", then they can choose "block". If indeed, the opponent chooses "steal", the "block" player gets all the money. If the opponent chooses "split", the "block" player will get nothing, the "split" player winning all the money. If both players "block", neither will get the money.

Give honest players a weapon against the dishonest, give them, "Split, Steal or Block"!

Krypton Factor Cheating?

In the first of the Krypton Factor semi-finals, contestant David Brooks failed to complete the logic puzzle - in this case the Sliding Blocks. At one stage you could clearly see that he only had to swap the last two blocks to finish, a fact also stated by the narrator. All puzzle enthusists (including two of the other contestants) know that the puzzle is impossible to finish from this position - the blocks MUST have been laid out incorrectly in the first place. David Brooks seems to have been cheated out of the chance of winning the heat.

Did anyone else notice? Did the producers care? Did anyone ever tell David?

TV is the major source of entertaining. nowadays, it has been growing its popularity in all major cities and towns up to its levels of extensions.And the major task here we are facing is the rotational way of its consumption.

Haven't watched a quiz show since My kind of music was taken off air and I haven't really been missing much have I? Are they ALL rigged nowadays? So obvious that dimwits Fizz & Maria (or whatever their real names are) were going to win judging by the fact that all their questions up to the £50,000 mark were really the kind that should only have been allotted £500 (or less). When the question about Robert Winston appeared on screen I was seriously expecting the next question to be "spell cat". Explains a lot about the education system and the ever increasing number of A grades and proves the point that you don't have to be smart or talented to get a lot of money - luck and perhaps something else plays a part.

Have really got into Duel even though I don't usually get hooked on quizs. Have watched a few on the Catch Up section, but notice now that it seems to have disappeared from the list of available progs. All earlier episodes have also gone. Come on itv.com.....bring it back on Catch Up.....pleeeez

I love Interactive Late Night Gameshows on ITV 1 Even though the Best Shows have been Axed like the Mint and Quizmania so now we got Glitterball and Make your Play Quiz Shows are late night interavtive Shows which give people to win Cash Prizes by calling a Number but most people say its a con bcause all calls are 75p whether you get through or now to play live but if you get the right answer you get to win Cash Prizes
so go on whats your oppnion.........
