I do not care about the elections of a foreign country, it has nothing to with us! I recently contracted the bbc about this subject and the reply went on about the elections being important, as the US, was the remaining super power. What i say to this is, only if other countries, listened.

Know was to happen if we elected a government that had some backbone and kept the US government at arms length.

The way i see it, it created the war in Iraq (and Afganistan) for its own ends. Only because a few thousand people died on the 7th September. Do you honestly think, America would throw it milatary weight if something like that happened here, i doubt it. America has been attacked - shock horror!!, maybe what i am questioning here is this whole idea of the so called 'Special Relationship', which it uses to its own ends. What do we get in return?

I wish we had a party and a leader that will tell the American President to take a run and jump.

I was watching CNN but after turning over to ITV and Alisdair Stewart it has been great to see him personalise, be so down to earth and entertaining throughout the night, for this evenings proceedings. I have never been a person to be involved with politics but somehow these votes, not only for the USA, but for the world, I am sure will effect us all. Go Obama!! But Go Alisdair too to make something I would normally not watch to keep me rivited!!

Who will become the President. Personally I feel it is over before it even began, the Republicans have no chance and this old pensioner they have put up might not even make the finish line.

It makes absolutely no difference who gets elected, once they get in it's more of the same, bribes, kickbacks and corruption. Politicians are preoccupied with trying to maintain an illusion of servitude to the people who elected them, while persuing their own schemes.

It seems everyone is so obsessed with this pointless battle with Obama and Clinton that they've forgotten that John McCain the Republican nominee, former POW and Vietnam vetran is still in it. Whoever takes him on cant win by the time November comes.
(The Democrats party convention is in August where if neither Obama or Clinton has dropped out the so called "Super Delegates" will decide who they want to represent the party) He will already know everything about Obama and Clinton ready for whichever takes the nomination whereas Obama or Clinton will have just about 3 months to find out about what John McCain has done in the past and he's a been a Senator for a long time so there's a lot more info to go through than there is if your looking at Obama or Clintons political history so John McCain has had alot of time to research what Obama or Clinton has done in the past whereas Obama or Clinton can't at the moment because neither knows wether or not they will get the nomination so have to put most of their money into attack ads on each other and leave just enough for about 1 or 2 attacks on McCain a month. My point is this the election has already been decided because Obama or Clinton dont have enough time in 3 months to get more money and to get more nominations for crucial states whereas McCain will of had nearly a year to get all that done.
