Whats the point in bleating on about who's to blame for missing madelaine if you read this kate and jerry I hope you never give up on hope itself and explore every possable avenue and try the possability of physic phenomena I believe every body has got some kind of physic ability and in the 'right' or 'certain' believable circumstances there are some truths. I am a mere average joe on this planet not religious or a physic but one day something very bizarre happened ,with work collegues we set up a bonus ball syndicate we each had to pick two numbers out of a box of wooden tabs numbered one to fortynine I was one of the first to pick. The box was held above my head there was no way I could see what I was picking there was an electrical buzz of excitement in the air I held a tab in my hand and with concentration I accurately predicted the number not once but twice for the two tabs I astounded myself and colegeus around me. Call it coincedence- who knows,since that day I have not been able to do this again. My point is yes physic ability has been tried before and in similar circumstances to yours and not always posative, but dont give up on it. I believe the setting ,atmosphere and positive energy would help but has to be right and only those people doing it would know, try getting fifty of them in that apartment and see what happens and not just once try multiple sessions and who cares what people think or say for the sake and safe return of your daughter I have felt compelled to write this to you Good Luck.

i am just leaving a message for maddie's mum and dad. i am a mother of three boys, three grandsons and one grandaughter, i cannot comprehend any one of them going missing. i pray for you each night thqt you get the rest to face the next day, i also hope very soon that you get your precious child back. i am not the type of person who usually writes into these forums, but i felt compelled to write to you with my prayers and good wishes to you and your whole family. with love from yvonne, in bridlington west yorkshire.

I sat throughout the 2 hours listening and watching what Kate and Gerry had to say about there special and precious little daughter.

I sadly have to admit that I for one, possibly along with many other people, started to switch off about the whole situation, and for that I feel very guilty. One thing I strongly noticed was the way the media have constantly belittled them, and also accused the family of many different things. The one thing that was not publicised that much was their work on the Amber Apeal! WHY NOT?

How can we the British public help Kate and Gerry with their appeal? This needs to be in place throughout the whole of Europe, God knows how many children have died in this country after being abducted....surely we should be helping put a stop to this by getting an Amber Appeal set up.

So PLEASE tell us what we can do to help?

Should we contact our local MP's?

How do we find out who our European MP is?

Lets help other children before some other family have to go through the same as the McCanns!!

Kate and Gerry, I pray that God keeps your daughter safe and well, and that she is found very soon, my thoughts and prayers are with you!

psychics, some are known and seen on T.V. Why in heavens name have their skills not been

i thought it was more than one year since this dear little girl was lostwe all grumble at times but nothing can be worse than what the parents of maddie are going through but in case we forget there is a higher power for every one, to provide strength for those that have to carry this sort of heavy crossand it is when we think we have ben forsaken that is when we are carried. auntsallyknitting

Where was any God when this little girl was taken? God does not exist - and if you want to draw strength do it out of the love for your own family not for some imaginery idol.

I do feel sorry for her parents and its painful to watch their suffering, but without a shadow of a doubt they were to blame 100% for what happened to their child.

No parent in their right mind, locks away their money and valuables but leaves access to 3 children under the age of 5. Even if you're only going next door to a neighbour for one minute you'd make sure no-one could attack or steal them, or you keep them in earshot even when they are playing in the garden.

This could highlight how little some parents have to do with the bringing up of young children. If parents are both working full time, giving the responsibility to someone else, out all day and not aware of all the dangers of safety and security then it is a risk. TSafety is something you learn as you go along (something happens every minute to put you on alert with the under fives), and if you only see children part-time then you are not as fully tuned in to the safety and security dangers as those mothers that are.

I have just watched the documentary and have to say that I thought it was beautifully filmed and at last allowed Kate & Gerry to express the hurt they have been feeling for the last year.

Of course they know they made a bad decision that evening and I am sure every second of every day they think of that and wish they could turn back time, but if their campaign for an European Amber Alert succeeds they may find some comfort in preventing others experiencing this trauma.

Being a mother and after watching both Gerry and Kate,my heart goes out to them both!Iwas deeply touched by their documentary,such a difficult thing for any parent to endure and one that no parent wants to!We all have to keep praying for her safe return,and also for the government to actually do something for once,and put into force The Amber Alert!,a small price to pay to retrieve a child back to where they belong!Iwould imagine if it was achild belonging to a high profile family it would have been instigated before now!Every family in every country should have this right no matter the cost!forever in my prayers,deborah xx

am i wrong to say that every child is speical not just one?there are many children out there missing why is nobody lookin for them,i am a mother and grandmother if my child was missing my tease would be rolling down my face and never stop till thay find my child,not being funny were was there,s people greave in there own way yes i now that,loosing a child is every parants nightmare,this is in gods hands now he will judge the truth time will tell.

This whole affair is terrible but I still cannot understand how two parents can be legally allowed to get away with leaving two 2-year old twins and a 3-year old girl on their own! This was a selfish dereliction of their parental duties that directly contributed to the awful consequence! Yes, they have suffered - and they will obviously continue to suffer - but that is not the point. The overwhelmingly important points are: what has happened to that poor little girl and, through the lack of official condemnation of the parents, the wrong message has been sent out to all of those other parents who think that it is quite reasonable to go off and have a good time whilst leaving toddlers completely on their own!

Why can’t all children be “chipped”? We are encouraged to have our pets chipped - which I have had done. I don’t have any children but if I did have any I would certainly have it done if it were possible. When the child becomes say 16 they can have it removed and that would pander to those who cry “infringing their civil rights” or whatever.

My thoughts are with you both as we approach the anniversary of missing Madelaine I would also like to include both grandparents as this must be a heartbreaking time for you all. I am convinced Madelaine will return. Keep your chin up as you have done up to now I only wish i could do something to help and take away the pain for you all.

I DO understand your distress. I shall be direct. Are you getting any pressure from Social Services. If you are, whenever they approach you ask them to sign a document that states that they found no cause to file a report of the time they spent with you. Whatever they write becomes fact. Beware, we were not.

My family is currently in the clutches of Social Services who filed reports that are untrue BUT have been accepted as fact by the authorities. A petition has been presented to Parliament supported by 42 Members of Parliament.

My family understands your grief for we too have had three children taken into care because one child of five years old did not attend school regularly. The father was a single parent who alone coped with them for nearly 14 months.

We can understand your frustration with trying to tell people "We are innocent" but nobody seems to listen to our heartbreak.

Since day one I have prayed for your anguish to be relieved and to find peace in the night when we awake with a start, wide awake and thinking of the previous events.

I am a greatgrandfather and the head of this family and apparently I can have NO SAY with what Social Services can do with my greatgrandchildren.

So you see you are not alone, pray for us as we pray for you. With all the loving kindness that we can try to give you, I say try because nobody else can really understand our grief. With deepest RESPECT, Phil and family.

Petition MEPs to support an Amber Alert type system in Europe

I saw the program featuring Kate and Gerry McCann on TV tonight. Despite not recovering their daughter yet, even after all this time they have not given up hope and this is a real inspiration to other distraught parents facing a similar tragedy. They should be very proud of all that their relentless determination has accomplished; I believe they have done a really great job. By maintaining a vigilant focus on their own daughter Madeline they have managed to significantly raise the profile of the plight of numerous other abducted children worldwide on behalf of the many thousands still missing throughout Europe and beyond.

I commend their efforts in campaigning for a system like the US “Amber Alert” to benefit all missing children by facilitating rapid recovery. The publicity they have generated over the past year will undoubtedly put pressure on European Union decision makers to go ahead and legislate in favor or instituting a similar program within the EU, especially when the one year anniversary of their daughter’s disappearance is reported in the press. I think that it might help to increase pressure on the MEPs if we could initiate a Petition in favor of Kate and Gerry’s proposal. Through their well established Website they could then promote such a Petition and amass signatures in favor of this proposal. I think that as the anniversary of Madeline’s abduction provides another publicity spike this is an ideal time to launch a Petition and it would gain massive support.
